Too many no shows on the BB’s

Demski and Olivera only BB’s to show up on O

Bighill should have stayed injured, completely ineffective

secondary was porous

Jefferson the only BB to show up on the D line

O’Shea outcoached in a Grey Cup for the second straight year

I disagree. The Bombers play at 70% of their talent level they win this game by 20. They failed to show up completely. Lazy in coverage, struggling to scrape to the hole, lazy in routes, struggles to block. This is not the team we watched all year, beyond the 30-6 game vs BC early on. This is a team that bought into their own hype and failed to show up in the big moment.

Als did nothing impressive. They hung around as the better team diddled and daddled it away. This loss is 100% on the Bombers and 0% on the Als. Maybe the one Mack catch was a great AL play. Outside of that, it was just a cluster f*** of Bomber errors. I'm f***ing pissed way more than last year. This is a BS performance. It's pathetic. And they should f***ing know it.
Again, it's the CFL man, player errors are just part of the game and happen way more often versus the NFL. Bombers definitely have talent, but if you're trying to compare Holm's talent in coverage vs Parker - it's in a different stratosphere. Als realized that, and also realized Houston was getting zero support and took the chance on Mack beating him 1-on-1 every time, and they won both of those matchups pretty easily and then threw the ball away from the Bombers' defensive line every other chance they could get. That's a pretty solid gameplan to me that took advantage of Hall's "bend-don't-break" sort of defence.

If we had the answer to this we'd be running the world. It's just human nature sometimes that it's hard to be the favourite. But doesn't make this any more acceptable. This team loves to break hearts and they did again. This was a most pathetic showing, even worse than last year. I'm beyond pissed and it's going to take me a long f***ing while to get over this. This f***ing team has lived long enough to become the villain. f***ers.
Just wait until you follow the Jets again. Then you’ll really hate sports

f*** this team. This Als team did f***ing nothing. They by no means earned a win. They did nothing. f*** them. The Bombers just completely forgot to show up. They handed the win to Montreal. Bullshit.
I think u all were warned!!

Really cause I see almost more mistakes in NFL than CFL. That's a BS excuse.

This is on the team for not showing up to play. The offense struggled to make plays. The defense couldn't make a play to save their lives, beyond one individual effort from Holm. DL was taken out of the game early and couldn't be bothered to show up. You call it life in the CFL, I call it a bunch of guys that got high on their own supply.

Here's a tune dedicated to our Bomber's season...

Mostly inspiring... so much fun as a season ticket holder... so much fun with My Bomber family in section 234... I love you all...

Jerry Douglas nails how I feel about this season in spite of this Grey Cup loss... so happy so euphoric...

So thankful... Thank you Bombers... great season...

They haven't fired Chevy into the sun yet. Hell die in that f***ing role and I'll continue to tell everyone who'll listen that that organization is f***ing toxic and deserves to be shitty.
Yet he was able to unload PLD on LA for 3 players that actually give a shit about hockey. Otherwise I agree on your Bomber comments.

This is for @Holden Caulfield...

You put so much work into the Bomber thread this year...

I always looked forward to your input on the Bombers for the last two years...

Great right on point stuff... thank you...

I understand your disappointment...

Tomorrow is a new day... thanks for being a great fan...

Why I love HFJets... filled with passion...

A Montreal win is good for the CFL, so something the powers that be surely wanted. Not good for us the Bomber faithful of course.

The teams in the West are really not in trouble. The Alberta teams after many years of success can weather a few seasons of adversity and those Green Goofs in Saskabush will always have enough two toothed hillbillies to cheer for them. BC is a decent team for now.

With the league darling Argos not in the game the CFL needed the East representative to knock off the Big Bad Blue Bombers, which they did. Ottawa needs a football team and not the mess they had there this season and Hamilton is not much better.

The officiating, while not horrible didn't help us at all. There were more than a few missed calls that could/should have been called in our favor.

That being said ZC simply did not execute. The playcalling at times was questionable and we likety should have shoved Oliveira down the Als throats a little more.

The D made some big plays but as has been mentioned countless times over the years our DC more often than not isn't worth a bag of snot. Bighill likely should have been kept out of the game after he reaggravated his injury, Cole was great last week, but likely Bighill would have had to have been shot to keep him out. Outside of Jefferson and Holm I am struggling to think of another Bomber D player who was mentioned in a good way. The DB's were exposed most of the game, in large part due to the scheme but also shoddy tackling and positioning. Seemed like Nate Scmidt was out there alot.

Punting was horrible on both sides all game, didn't think the wind would be a factor.

I think we see some changes on the O Line and at Receiver and in every segment of the D. Is Jeffcoat under contract for next season? Jefferson? Bighill may well have played his last game. Maybe the returning DB's will be better if our DC gets shitcanned which I bet doesn't happen.

I think we will be competitive next season and make the playoffs but I wouldn't put money down on that happening in 2025, the year the Cup is here, which if I still haven't spun off this mortal coil and we could win would be a doozy of a way to move on to whatever accomodations I'll be provided with in Hell.

15-5 nothing to sneeze at for a season but when your last game is a loss and it is in THE game then it's just not the same.

Such is life and in the end when we look around us and see what is going on in the world this was just a football game. Still a bitter pill to swallow. Sorry for the long post. Darn near close to the bottom of the bottle of champagne, didn't want to dirty a glass and because my better half loves me I didn't have to share so I'm a little like Sip is 5 minutes into a Jets game.

Looking forward to the jets next game now.

Cheers.

If the better team never lost, and the inferior team never won, sportsbooks would go bankrupt. Fact of life. And yeah, it sucks that it happened to us, happened today. I liked what I saw and I'd be happy with it again. This is a damn good team with damn good humans on it. Never been prouder to cheer for them, even after tonight.

Pretty sure Holden will cheer for the Riders before he becomes a Jets fan again.

Hell, yeah. Too bad he lawyered up with his mouthpiece Chipman and got out of the banishment he deserved.

Zach Collaros has 300K guaranteed in 2025. Anyone thinking we are moving off him are kidding themselves. This is Zach's team. Two beyond flukey wins in Grey Cups isn't changing that fact. This team is gonna be run back. Let's just hope they remember to show up next year in the big one.

These f***ing guys. You either die a hero or live long to see yourself become a villian.
By my count, Collaros has played 9 playoff games with the Bombers and not one of those would be a great game on his part. Maybe 2 or 3 good games if we are being generous.

Zach has shown he is incapable (other than maybe the 4th quarter and OT against Hamilton during the 2021 Grey Cup with an assist from Harris and the defense) of carrying the team in the playoffs.

He showed a lot of happy feet today, especially in the 2nd half. He just didn't look comfortable back there. We saw a lot of that in the second half of the season. We don't see a lot play calls where he rolls out and he doesn't appear to have the evasiveness of 2 - 4 years ago. I also think it might have helped if he was a little deeper for some of those snaps....or at least taken more steps back upon receiving the ball to give him just a little more time.

Yeah, Montreal’s D is really good and the offence and Collaros had been sputtering for a while now so that was the big thing that concerned me. I love Collaros but tend to agree he doesn’t perform in the playoffs. It’s really unfortunate.
