Iv been saying that I like him more than Danielson or MBN for example for a while now, still we don't know yet what Buchelnikov, Plante, Lombardi and some others could become. It's too early to say
You and I see the game in diametric opposition to one another.
MBN = This kid is the power forward the Wings desperately need. He will be on the opening day roster next season and be a top 5 Calder candidate.
Danielson = The Adam Oates of his generation. Not sure what people DON'T see in the guy. Some want a player to be every darn thing, but those are rare beasts. This kid is going to, one day, replace Larkin as the #1 center.
ASP = (Preface this by saying I want to be wrong). I don't see his game translating to the NHL. The bigger sheet makes his game work. With bigger, stronger, players in N. America, I don't think he will be able to play defensive effectively at the the NHL level. He will end up a PP specialist. Does that work? I don't know. I hated the Zadina pick because he had a single stand out skill, shooting. If that didn't translate, he was toast.... He was toast. ASP is staying in Sweden to see if he can develop/adapt his game to play in N. America. D+2 still in Sweden, not excited about his chances.
