Purely looking at stats, but how is it possible that Maximilian Kilpinen has gone backwards SO much a year after being drafted?

Denver crapped the bed against Colorado College tonight….Mazur with a dumb penalty at the end to seal it for CC

If Denver’s season done is there anyway we could potentially see mazur get a shot this year? Or at the very least on Grand Rapids? And In other news, could doucet be a legit prospect? The guy is not overly big by any means, and yes he’s pretty old for juniors but he has legit goal scoring sense. Any chance he joins the griffins when his junior year is over? I’m Interested in seeing if he could play a well rounded game in a men’s league. I wonder if he’s just pulcannon with a different name.

Denver will be in the main tourney, so their season definitely isnt over at this point. Although if they play like they did tonight it might be over pretty quick for them...it was a pretty pathetic display. Maybe they started kegs and eggs a little too early?

I honestly thought this was the tourney, I have no time to follow the NCAA so I’m completely out of the loop. Either way, if they are out quick, is he going to the AHL you think?

Doucet 1 SHG + 1A, +2, 5 SOG in a 4-3 win for Halifax.

107 points (56G, 51A) in 66 games.
I'd love for one or more of our prospect gurus to provide some context here to help educate proper expectations on Doucet.

I mean, I see what I'd normally consider phenomenal production, accomplished with two different teams, and decent playoff stats as well.

But is the Q just one step up from high school? Or what if anything do we take from all this?

Well from what I read, he went undrafted largely because his skating was consider quite bad. Don’t know if that’s improved at all or to what extent

Wow , so impressive, if Raymond plays next season in Q, how many points whoud he gets? Oh wait a minute, numbers is similar to 1 younger Veleno in the Q. Numbers is really nothing , but what if he is really good defensively, I hope so , what if he is another Glendening

I just bought the Hockey News Future Watch magazine. Our prospects are rated third overall. Devils are first and Ducks are second. We have four guys in the top 100 prospects. Ed at 2, Kasper at 19, Cossa at 32, Mazur at 69. They had Buch at 5 for us and surprised Wallinder is 6. Seems low to me. Finally AJ makes a Hockey News list at 7. First time he has been mentioned. Hanas, Buium, and Lombardi round out their top ten. Maybe we will be number 1 after this draft

For me, my lack of excitement would hinge more on the fact that he's a legit overager moreso than the fact that the Q is weak and we've been kicked in the nuts by every prospect that looked promising coming out of it.....Mantha, trash....Veleno, trash.....Zadina, trash.....(at least as far as what theyve accomplished in higher leagues compared to their head turning stats in the Q.)

That said, Ive never seen him actually play and a free asset is a free asset so hopefully we see what the kid can do in prospects camp.

So they don't have Soderblom in the top 10? Surprised by that.

Detroitish
Carter named the Most Outstanding player of the ECAC Tournament
Well earned after defeating 2 very good teams the past 2 nights.

Tonight was the first night I actually watched him. I don't know how he'll pan out as a prospect but he's fun to watch. He's quick, athletic and is hyper aware of the puck. Colgate is a great story making the tournament. It'll probably be Gylander vs. Mazur in the first round....or maybe Michigan.

I’d just temper your expectations on anyone producing well in a CHL league in their +1 or +2 season that wasn’t a high pick until you see them play in the AHL or a pro league.

What guys like Lombardi and Doucet are doing is great. But there is a big jump to a pro league and until you see what that looks like those points don’t mean too much. You can succeed in the CHL with flaws in your game. That stuff doesn’t get exposed until you jump up a level.

What is Mastrosemone status, do we have to sign to keep him or we still have a time?
