That's @jaster 's specialty. Not sure anyone is more skeptical of prospects than him.

Hope he hasn't stroked out from the comment in some other thread where Kasper was described as being expected to produce 60-90pts.
Hey, I'm realistic. That's different

Sorry for throwing cold water on Carter Gylander :naughty:

Mehlenbacher with a goal tonight… also was listed as their #1C on the lineup sheet for tonight, not sure if he has been playing there all season or not.

Maybe Kenny H. knew how to draft good forwards in his final years. Ras, Berg and Veleno

What's going on with Edvinsson? It feels like coverage has been pretty quiet so far this year.

He was sick for a couple weeks. And then missed games for a couple more. Offense kind of dried up for him, but he's got better +/- than most D down there.

Yeah I'm kinda surprised how quiet it's been. Literally almost nothing since he got sent down.

Obviously as we could see during the preseason he has a lot of things to work on. I think the hype got a little out of hand and the media behind it got a little reality check. Way to high of expectations after having Seider walk right in. It was just never likely to be the case. As great as Edvinssons talents are he has to learn to deploy them at this level and cut down the mistakes. I do hope we see him for a few games this year, just to give him a little taste and experience to help him better understand what he has to keep working on. Next year will come soon enough and I'm sure we will see a lot more of him.

I think it's just quiet on Edvinsson because coverage of the AHL isn't available. Not many people want to pay for the AHL subsrciption. In my experience, other methods of watching aren't available. The highlights packages the AHL put out only show goals and include up to 1 second leading up to the goal, and there is no IceHockeyGifs putting together packages of clips keeping us updated on how he's actually playing.

So we get to look at stats. The stats don't look especially good or especially bad.
They look like stats that could use context to know if he's really generating offense or if he's really playing quality defense, and that context is scarce.

Yeah it's actually crazy how we seem to have more posters here watching SHL games than the actual Red Wings farm team lol.

Kasper been less productive lately and he's forth line at the moment.
Try to watch Buchelnikov today, but game kinda boring, hard to watch

One day, people will understand that SHL teams don’t list their lines with a traditional 1-through-4 system.
One day.
Good luck. I've been waiting half a life time for people to figure that out about college hockey too. No dice.
