Well if it really was meaningless, why blame Brodie for anything maybe he shared your viewpoint.

NHL games are never truly meaningless, especially at home. They may have little or no impact on standings, maybe a team or individual isn't feeling it once in a while in a long season, but competitors should inherently compete when there's the chance to compete. It's also a tough take to have that nihilistic approach to games when you think of all the paying audiences in the stands, all the people that made your game a big part of their routine. There's always something to play for, tune up in preparation for the playoffs.

Sammy was horrible but then became great. Won’t blame him on the OT goal.
TJ just made dumb mistakes that he never made till this season.
Hope McCabe and McMann will be ready by playoffs.

The Naki
Started poorly
Came on as the game progressed
Ended up playing pretty well

You can see the boys going through the motions as they wait for the playoffs to start but it would be nice to see the goaltending start solidifying again and some of our better more experienced defenseman knuckle down

It was a good game to be at even though we lost. A depressing result but many exciting moments
I played hockey, football, and soccer. I was a hockey coach for years.

I played and coached every game to win them. I didn't want just excitement, or to simply entertain everyone. I wanted to WIN.

I expect the teams I cheer for to do the same. I wouldn't be excited by that loss at SBA tonight, even if other fans felt they were excited and entertained.

If you're going to keep score, make sure you have the higher total score.

You're responding to a guy that thinks playoffs don't matter. Stop wasting your time.

Well we were speaking about the fans in the SBA. But if you think that was a bad game for them, what would you call a 7 1 loss?

i was really hoping Auston would get the 70th tonight and we could put that to rest and the team would focus on getting ready for the playoffs.

Can't get too upset about 69 though.

i'd rather lyubushkin's dumb passes vs brodie's inability to play hockey

5 million dollars right there....

Samsonov just has an uncanny ability to be dogcrap at the worst times

Looks like matthews will play another game

They both equally suck. Lyubushkin can barely move. Brodie is just lost positionally.

I'd honestly go off the board and go Giordano. At least Giordano puts his heart and soul. Yea he's slow, but to be fair Lyubushkin might be just as slow, and Brodie has completely lost his awareness.

The Red Wings celebrated that OT win like they just won the Cup. That was wild.
