I mean it. Gallant has no idea how to coach the 3v3. It's evident as all hell when you watch other teams and decision making with the puck they make to keep possession until there's a chance from without close range with open net.

It seems like their strategy is to play for the shootout in OT. And Gallant putting out Trouba, Goodrow, Rooney types for defense is the most galaxy brain shit ive ever seen. K'Andre should be out there more than Fox in OT with his skating ability. Im just glad none of it counts in the playoffs

Jones and Schneider were fantastic again
Laf played extremely well

The best thing that can happen to this team:
Rangers get run out of the building in round 1
Start slow next season
Gallant is fired

If you hate how this team plays 3v3 in OT during the regular season you're gonna really hate 5v5 overtime in the playoffs

They were pretty clearly the better team 5v5 tonight. What does playoff OT have to do with 3v3 OT?

Frustrating game. Panarin & Fox leading the way with their overpassing, east-west BS and they still couldve won this game 6-2 if not for Greiss. Thank god 3 on 3 is only in the regular season because they have no idea how to play or coach in OT. And abolish the shootout, its not hockey.

Strome is showing his limitations recently, ive always been a fan but i dont know if hes good enough to commit to long-term. The team will never have consistent 5v5 success as long as Hunt, McKegg & Gauthier are playing every night.

Jones-Schneider needs to stay together all year (and next year and the year after, etc.), they play off each other so well. Its kinda crazy how quickly Ryan Lindgren became our worst defenseman, and thats not a knock on him. The Rangers D will be the envy of the league in a few years, if it isnt already.

Agreed...Lindgren becoming our worst D-man was/is inevitable & means our kids are progressing. Just wish our Forward prospects would catch up.

McKegg in for Barron is as bad a playing nemeth/Hajek/Tinordi over Jones on 3rd pair.....
B2B games, we had a good effort and should have won, but Greiss and shootout put us on the losing end.
My biggest complaint with Gallant is his refusal to do what’s the logical choice in taking out McKegg and /or bumping Gauthier down.

it’s also puzzling in 3v3 ot, why you wouldn’t use every offensive threat possible to get the extra point?
At that point, there’s nothing to lose...

McKegg had the puck on his stick a ridiculous amount tonight, which isnt a good thing. Watching him try to do anything skillfully or quickly is going to give me an ulcer. Get Barron in, the McKegg experiment has been over for weeks now
