Just as I go on Twitter, NJ's Jack Hughes looks to have a similar injury. He skated to the room in the same position that Mathurin was in.
I think this all a much larger issue. The D does not have enough high caliber players eg NHL picks. Certainly not enough to compensate for questionable goaltending. Furthermore you have a backup goalie that isn't playing at an average level. They did very little at the deadline had the division wrapped up and you have seen a team coast to the end.Folks, we definitively have a goaltending issue. Joey since Christmas has been the Joey that many if us wanted moved/releases prior to the regular season Frogett steady but not a whole lot better. Better bring in Newlove or Windbiel or both. 1st round win could easily be an issue. All that hard work and effort for 1st half of season is being pissed away. Only 3 wins in last 8 games is not good this time of year.

Any updates on Tinas? Looked really bad.Well, Mathurin is out for this game, maybe more. Got hit hard from behind, can't tell if it's leg or head/upper body, and he was down for a while. Had lots of help getting off the ice.
It's my opinion too......Just thought I would share this! lolThank for your opinion..

Hate to be a team that backs into anything but if Saginaw loses tonight and fails to pick up 2 points and does not get a row win then Windsor will have the division. Would have been nice to have done it last weekend on their own win but it did not go well, so here they are.
Playing actual defense helps a lot..Barring some freak thing from Flint, I'm expecting Windsor to need to get the win at home tomorrow, or a win at all, to pull it off. Saginaw is rolling and it's going to be tough for anyone to snag a point, let alone two.
Also with Mathurin out I think we will see a lot more of Hicks. Baptism by fire I thinks.Spits vs Kingston
Mathurin, Gaymes and Costello not dressed.
Walton and Winegard are in
Froggett gets the start
Has only allowed 1 goal his last 91 minutes of action, the win over Peterborough and replacing Joey 28 minutes in at Ottawa, stopped 31/32 shots in those 2 games.
Hope he keeps it up

I think Costanzo is trying. I think it's a bunch of things. He's probably not near 100%, they don't have a reliable backup, they don't have a string deep d, and we have seen Costanzo for almost 3 years now and he's probably an average goalie. He can have a great stretch but turnaround and be well below average. They had a real good run where the D was better than the sum of their parts. They still have time to fix certain things but at this point they will be judged on the playoffs.I just hope our players/goalies can learn from these bad games and bad personal performances and take that as motivation to perform better going into playoffs, more consistent effort needed especially from Costanzo, it's either a mental thing or he has a nagging injury but either way he needs to be better for this team and a lot more consistent if this young team has any chance of going anywhere. Everyone needs to pull up their socks and get ready for playoff style hockey.
Hope this team comes with a better gameplay and overall effort than last week up in Kingston or will get handed another loss. I think Froggett with the Start tonight, and if he performs well give him tomorrow as well in a big match up. Costanzo could use some time on the bench watching from that perspective and taking time off in action because he has looked like the Costanzo we seen the majority of last season and just fighting the puck and not sound positionally.
Really need to string together some wins now and build that confidence needed going into playoffs.

See more 44 pinching also. Also with Mathurin out I think we will see a lot more of Hicks. Baptism by fire I thinks.
Important game for a few egos .
A must to see production from the secondary scoring group. Top teams will take Greentree and Protas out of the equation so time for the " other" players to step up. Be safe.
You can say we don’t have a reliable backup, but for the last two months, our backup has looked more like our starter.I think Costanzo is trying. I think it's a bunch of things. Hey, I will bet you a Capri pizza that Froggett becomes...You can say we don’t have a reliable backup, but for the last two months, our backup has looked more like our starter.
Hopefully they can get it fixed, whatever the hells going on.

Ah, nevermind...that didn't work out so well the last time. Lol!
I'd prefer one of them to grab the1a and run with it. Wrong time of year to figure out the go to guy.I'm not necessarily opposed to them being 1a/1b now.
London has a 1a/1b tandem. Windsor is more as a 2a/2b situationI'm not necessarily opposed to them being 1a/1b now.
