I'm fully expecting tomorrow to be a rough one. This is a tired, angry club that won't be amused by anything less than a win... and that's not likely. Going from a 7pm start in Erie to a 2pm start in Kitchener would be tough for a contender, let alone the Spitfires right now. Play the game and hope for the best.

That’s a rough turnaround. I know it’s dependent on other bookings within all of our arenas, but in my opinion, if you played the night before in a 3-in-3, the last game which is usually Sunday should start at 4 not 2pm. This obviously would never happen. It’s a business so suck it up, but it’s exhausting. Erie to Kitchener is 4 hours including allotted time for border crossing. Windsor wouldn’t get to the hotel until 3AM, and have to be at the Aud by 12pm. Best of luck today, it’s not a easy turnaround.

As I’ve said before……..Momma said if you have nothing good to say, say nothing………”nothing”.
Na, most fans on here are fairly knowledgeable. They also need somewhere to vent. As long as they don't get too personal I'm good with it.

OHLTG pointed out about today's game but I also am concerned. Going to be a grumpy bunch of Spits heading into Kitchener today. After last years playoffs Spits might see this as a grudge match. Really really hope this game does not get out of hand. If they get down early they might just go postal and you don't want to see a bucket of undisciplined plays.
Saw that at the end of the game last night. No injuries, no suspensions for either team.

Just play hockey.

Go Spits!!!

The Rangers in the past have a terrible record of not taking advantage of teams in the Spitfires situation. I personally wouldn't be surprised if this game is a lot closer than you suspect heck, maybe even a Spitfire win.

Having said that, this new Ranger coaching staff isn't like anything we've seen here since the Deboer days. So who really knows??

I expect a big crowd next Saturday. However, they will all leave after the Taylor Swift tickets are won.
We all know it's going to go to a young girl, as it probably should. I doubt anyone over 16 gets the tickets. It's all a ruse to gets people in the seats. Will be a sell out probably.

Onto the massacre last evening. Bad decision to keep Michilone as the Back up IMO. Jared Smith Said Costanzo would get the bulk of the games and he should be starting in 50 or so games, win or lose. Let one of these young goalies get there toes wet. It's not a great team this year so far but getting to the OHL level and going thru the ups and downs in this league will only help Froggett be prepared more for next season and the future. Players look disinterested, a bunch of ants scattered around the ice out of position, cant even play well structured hockey, pond hockey is what I'm watching out there. The players that we need to take charge and play the right way are not setting the examples. Alot of Me's on this team, stop trying to be pretty out there and play a team game.

I'm fine with parting ways with guys like Smith, Malliet, Jodoin, Abraham, Morneau and Dionico. Dionico will bring a decent haul and personally I dont like his playing style, Not much of a defenseman in my eyes and setting bad examples out there. If these guys dont turn the ship then no one will because they are supposed to be leading the way. We havent seen it yet.

It's Been Greentree leading this squad, give him the "C".

At this point I think most fans including myself see this season going in the wrong direction with no view of a turn around in sight. All we can do is Hope for things to start clicking. I've said it before, we might be out skilled but the Spitfires are not playing hockey the right way so the results wont change. At what Point to we start to point the finger at Jared Smith, Gotta get these guys doingthe right things!!

Expecting the Loss BUT Hoping for the win.

Go Spitfires Go!!!

Not sure I'm liking the D pairings. Dionico and Eichler don't work well together. Neither are focused on the home end .
Cristoforo and Walton are fine and Woodall has been good. Need Cristoforo and Eichler to be paired and Walton with Dionico. At least one of the 2 can play D. We'll see if this gets tweaked as time progresses.

Dionicio and Walton are the starting D vs Kitchener today.Spits are going with 7D as Winegard, Greenwell, Stewart are in while Abraham(facial),Struthers and Martin out along with Christopoulis.
Costanzo starts in goal.

Goal 10 seconds in. Why is Jodoin still on the team? You mean to tell me there is no one else better in the system?

Terrible turnover in their own zone. Can't complete simple passes and it's 3-1.

Congrats on Greenwell on his first career goal. Hopefully Struthers being a healthy scratch is the first step in just moving on from him. He's 19, doesn't have much value.

All sorts of giveaways. Like I said yesterday, they will be lucky to keep this one within 8 goals. Constanzo with the 5.90 GAA. Serious question, any chance Smith is in danger of being fired? The Firebirds fired Dent after two games.

I think Smith is given a longer leash. How long? I don't know. Today's the simple things that are hurting them - turnovers and soft on the puck/body. They're letting guys skate right into Costanzo. I don't know if that's systems or players, or both, but it's hard to watch.

The team isn't good but there is no way they are this horrible, this is another echelon of bad. Outscored 21-43 and one win. Will be lucky to win 10-15 games if they don't make changes. There is literally zero structure to their game, legit pond hockey. It's embarrassing.
