Mercy rule please!!!. This is the worst Spits team I think that I can ever remember. Penalty shots come from the defense way behind. This is becoming standard for a Spits game. Vasilesky would lose with this team in front of him. Honestly keep Woodall, Walton, Greentree, Nesbitt, Costanzo, Cristoforo and maybe Spellacy and then clean house completely. Is Smith a HC? Not looking like it although bad coaching doesn't yield this type of effort and results. New coach and 14 new ohl level players that give a shit. The room is lost no doubt. Everyone with an ounce of pride must want out now.

Honestly tho, do we want to have Froggett playing with this dumpster fire right now. Might be a good thing they didn’t bring him on as backup. Let this team right the ship first and then bring him up so he isn’t hung out to dry all the time.
Absolutely not. 💯 Froggett needs to come up when we have some assemblage of a team and coaching.

I just don’t want to see him here and getting lit up and lose confidence. I think he has a bright future if Windsor doesn’t run him with this team

If he’s going to be the starter here next year, he needs to get 20/25 games in this year. Rare few comes from JrB and starts right away.

Spellacy call was soft at best. Thankfully it is not a close game Dionicio letting Nesbitt handle the rough stuff as a rookie helping his teammates is disgraceful. Peer begging that player don't worry I won't get involved 😤

froggett is backing up sabourn in London, sabourn May he the best JrB goalie in the league, so he may only get 15/29 more games there, he won’t start. next year it’ll be the same thing, that he needs to play in Jr b because he only played 23 games. just rip the bandaid off and get him those 23 games in the O so he’s more prepared for next year

Nothing against Michelone but you can't have a 19 year old Junior B goalie with a 5.50 GAA taking up a roster spot when you have a solid goalie prospect waiting to be called up. Pure idiocy.

Gonna be an ugly one tomorrow. Gotta make the 4 hr drive to Kitchener and and be on the ice by 1:30 pm. Never mind winning the game, I'll be surprised if they can somehow keep that game within 5 goals. Kitchener scored 8 in their last game, they might score 10. After tomorrow's blowout loss, you got Saginaw next. Gonna be 1-9 with the room already done with this coach. Fire Jerrod Smith and the entire coaching group. This squad will be lucky to win 15 games. The entire league is laughing at this embarrassment.

Well this is a mess. Looks like a JRc team against an NHL team. Can it get any worse? Yup, heading to Kitchener tomorrow. That should end well.

Bowler, Smith and company need to reset quickly because it looks like we are heading for the lottery.

Sell, sell, sell! ( if anyone would actually be interested in these players).

I'm not sure I buy that as the reasoning. They had no problem spending money to get Letkowski and Savard as the coach.

Im disappointed that im able to say told you so. This stunk from the day i heard he was being hired. Hes not ready, and frankly not HC material!!! Not just on Smith tho. BB engineered this mess hes as much responsible!! To bad the Savages have so much invested in BB to let him go. To bad the season has started and all thats left are scraps for coaches. Did no one else scratch their head at the AC hire too? No patience left, this team has obviously quit on at least Smith but imho im cleaning house!!

I agree with you on this one. You were calling this a bid hire from day one. Dude just isn't a head coach. Sarnia lost more players than the Spitfires did and are competitive this season, that's one real coaching can do. Sarnia plays with actual systems. Our coach is using the same pond hockey system as last season. What a joke.

Ya I was thinking the pond hockey thing myself. They literally have no game plan it seems. At least Savard had the forwards going last year.
How long before they need to shake things up? This can't be substantial, can it?

Nope, there is no chance this team wins games with any consistency playing this style all season. It only worked last year because they had one of the best offenses seen in the OHL in the last 15 years. They still finished 13th in goals conceded. Already a disastroius -20 goal differential this season, probably -30 after tomorrow.

What a gross embarrassment. This team isn't good but there is no way they are this bad. These are Niagara Ice Dogs type of results. Have the players quit on Smith already? If this continues the remainder of the month, Bowler should look at making a coaching change. In the interview the other week Bowler again said the plan is to be competitive. Well your team is getting blown out in most games, has Jr. B goaltending and making Erie look like the best team in the league. Fire Jarrod Smith ASAP and revamps your systems.
Not this season Niagara is playing better all losses for Niagara have been close.
