You take your points where you can get them. With 24 or so games remaining I’m expecting /hoping we can squeeze out 10 wins. If we aren’t hit with injuries it’s possible. Certainly we didn’t miss Zito last night but certainly we will for the balance of the season. As for todays tilt with Saggy my guess is it’ll be a rough one.
Have you looked at the schedule? I don’t see 10 being realistic

Maybe 6-7 more wins……..but that’s ok, let’s get the first overall pick and a good draft and build on that….hoping green tree does come back for a 4th season, if so with the proper development and a legit head coach, maybe will be back at the top of the standings….prolly need to draft a goalie with our 2nd pick in the second round…hopefully there’s a stud and can play under Joey for 1-2 seasons

Good win yesterday! Nice to see that much compete.
The Zito thing, some promises were made, maybe some misunderstandings too. But he was disgusted by the way the team is being handled. Not ok to just walk away but it was definitely a double edged sword. How does he keep his job outsider?

I'm really enjoying Martin's enforcer-ish role. He's not going to score 15-20 but he has some speed and he'll use his size to intimidate and protect. As long as he can keep the minor penalties to a minimum...

Windsor very undisciplined..

Donovan cross checks Greentree to the ice so Abraham retaliates and gets called. Then Saginaw loads up there PP with their top players with 1 minute to go. That is more what you expect from the Green team .

So I don't blame Abraham for defending his captain.

I don't blame Abraham at all, esp when Donovan smacked Abraham before hitting Greentree.

I have never seen a fanbase so committed to ragging on an opposing player's actions that many of them change their forum name.

Ya I have one account on here and that's it, you're wrong on this one. Uhhhh the team's nickname is the Spits, so you're going to see plenty of users with the team nick name in their usernames on their own thread.

Anyways, the squad was somewhat competitive in this loss, only gave up two even strength goals. A nice goal by Davis. Only 2600 at the game in Saginaw, best roster in the CHL and having problems getting the fans in, wonder how Memorial cup tickets are selling? Anyways, might as well keep losing and get that 1st overall pick and 3rd overall import pick. I agree they need to draft a goalie with one of their several 2nds and 3rds in this draft.

He thinks he’s funny because Zayne.

Will say that Davis is gonna be a good one. Sometimes I think that full year in junior B is better for 16 year olds than getting 4th line minutes in the OHL. It pays off more often than not.

It's almost as if the team is named the Spits or something... odd.

He took the Luchuk route; get drafted early, spend a year in Jr B, then showcase in the O. I don't expect 50 goals like Looch but I'll take 20-25 with some grit.

IMHO………a decent game by the Spits by all accounts. After all Saggy is a much better team. Perhaps we’ll have better luck on Thursday. As for those who don’t see us winning 10 more games this year, I for one don’t want to see us tank and if luck is with us .415 or so is attainable.
If Zito had been playing today it might have been enough. In this league your team can go from winners to bums in one game. As for those complaining when players step in to help team mates…..this is hockey not ringette.

I know you're on the Canadian side of the Detroit River but there's a fairly significant NFL game today. Crowd was packed last night...just short of 5000 for a big game against Kitchener.

The big test, where they end up is really going to show this weekend with 2 games against Sarnia. Also the upcoming games with Flint.
