Somewhere
When he has played on the top 2 lines has he produced at all? If you have talent it will show no matter who you play with. When they move you up you got to show them you belong there. It sucks they are bouncing him around position wise but when you are a rookie you got to earn and take your spot. I don’t care about smith or Morneau or Martin cause they aren’t the ones we are talking about. But smith shouldn’t be on this team period.

If you get 2nd line minutes for half a period that's not going to get you very far. Lines have never been the same for more than a period or two. The coach and gm switch the lines 5 minutes into a game. Or they're playing well in the first so he gets the bench down in the 2nd and 3rd and loses. I get you need Nesbitt to develop. But the coach needs to develop him. This coach stands on the bench looking confused 98% of the time. O don't think he could manage a bunch of whores in a whore house if he tried. This GM is a complete joke and has no clue where his head is from his ass. This team is a complete dumpster fire and it's pretty laughable at this point. I only watch so I can see how many mistakes Abraham makes and the amount of ice time he gets because it has to be tops in the league in both departments. Psh.

Agree. They need to properly unravel everyone involved and make it known this is and will never be tolerated again at any level. Bring respect back to the game off ice.
It will take decades to clean it up. Just as this has been going on for 20-30 years it will take double that amount of time to make it better. At least the 5 have come forward now but the cover up from Hockey Canada is absolutely shameless. I do feel bad for those NHL teams because they were over a barrel.

Hard to bring respect to this game. This game is corrupt and everyone knows it.
True. But it has to start somewhere. When the game started in backyards and ponds, it wasn't about sexual assaults off the ice, or in the training room or hazings, or cover-ups for financial gain and self protection from public scrutiny. Thanks to the US gymnastics, assorted figure skaters, actors/actresses, Epstein case that this behavior must stop. It is not just a hockey issue. We had our own Spits debacle with hazing and the downtown event that split the Spits the following year. Not going to revive that specific topic. Think of those victims as if it was one of your own sons and daughters who were victimized. Sik f'x out there.

Dont forget the 3 spits that had their own sex assault issue. Its rampant throughout, depends on who, what where why and when. Players in the O still get caught having relations with billets moms and daughters. Theres still puck bunnies in every city…. I don’t believe its something that can be completely stopped but those that are actually assaulting people need to pay for their actions!

I haven't. The Spits were absolutely pathetic trading the wrong player to absolve the fracture at the time. It was based only on keeping the "better on ice player" at the time. Nice example of sweeping the dirt under the carpet.

Seems to me that everyone is jumping all over the NHL in the cover up over this sexual assault case…but these were CHL players at that time. It seems to moi that the cover up began with TEAM CANADA (2018) and the CHL.

The impression I got this afternoon was that people were annoyed that the NHL talked about Utah as an expansion team within hours of the Team Canada stuff being announced. To some, it felt like a cover-up and/or distraction, which I can understand.

The NHL based on the players union, cannot do much until their day in court. Innocent until proven guilty I suppose.

The London police are not Scott free in this. The woman met with the police twice at the time in 2018 to file a complaint and police laid no charges at the time and really did not properly investigate it until more recently when s--t hit the fan on the cover over. Was a current Knight being involved Formerton at the time a factor?

Agreed LP can do better and should have their investigation process reviewed n improved. No doubt.
Far as Knights factor......IMO probly not as they have a terrible record in similar cases across the board not involving Knights, Mustangs or whatever public group.

The 5 players did not “come forward.“ They are being given preferential treatment and have been told to surrender to the London Police within X amount of days or a warrant for their arrest would be issued. Don’t make it sound like they are doing “the right thing.”

Where did I say they're doing the right thing. Quite often people are given 5-7 days to show themselves. Pretty much coincides with the Feb 5th news conference. This won't be going to trial for a few years as it is so I don't see the idea of preferential treatment. They will have their day soon enough.
