They would play Thursday Saturday and Sunday along with the game ge just played..
As stated, they don't play Friday so that is the break to keep it from 4 games in a row. the 4 games in a week is never a thing because Sunday is a different week so it is 4 games in a row. Now there have been exceptions when this has happened but I'm not sure how they determine that.

Well i was hopeful after the trade deadline for a strong finsh and go on a run grab 8th but the delusion has weared off a bit. Top 4 pick does sound nice for the future. But still looking for wins when i watch the games. Hoping to see a strong team effort tonight, crazier things have happened. Couple goals or a real strong game in net could steal a game. Not expecting the win forsure but lets see the level of compete tonight.

Go Spits Go!!

Spitfires nervous 3rd period or Saginaw decides to play hockey but that went from great team game over 40 to zero for their earlier efforts.

Where did I say they're doing the right thing. Quite often people are given 5-7 days to show themselves. Pretty much coincides with the Feb 5th news conference. This won't be going to trial for a few years as it is so I don't see the idea of preferential treatment. They will have their day soon enough.
Your wording made it sound as if they are turning themselves in out of the goodness of their hearts. And they certainly are getting preferential treatment! How many accused sex offenders are asked, through their lawyers, to surrender and given time to ask for leaves of absences from their jobs? Give me a break. You can’t believe this is normal.

Why is Cristiforo on the penalty kill at all? I'm sorry but his ice time seems a tad excessive especially when he's a weaker defender.
Many will argue he blocks shots well which he does but for me it's the zero effort physically to move players out if the crease or even frown when players razzl/chop at our goalies after a play is unforgivable.

That game just told you why the players are off sometimes! Horrible coaching decisions cost this game tonight. Spoiled a pretty damn fine effort by deciding to sit on a 2 goal lead. If the gm cant give the guys a proper hc why should they give him a solid effort every night?!?! That wasnt nerves guys, that was trying to sit back and play D. Something they arent good at anyway! Love to hear how anyone can justify why that happens! Guess were all on the same page, lets get that top pick!

They obviously lost but plenty of good signs. Were able to go back and forth with the best roster in the OHL while missing Greentree. Yes, stupid coaching decision to put the line out after the 4th goal.

Cristoforo made a big shot block on Owen Beck that led to the 4th goal, props to him for blocking that shot on the penalty kill. Great games from the Woodall and Davis. This is one of those games where you can't be too upset about the loss considering how competitive the game was.

They have played a contending team in every single game since the trade deadline. The only game you can argue they didn't was against Oshawa who is only a few points out of first.

If they play how they did tonight in the upcoming games against the Petes and Sting they should be able to record some wins. Again, better off losing and getting that chance to get the #1 overall pick, hopefully Wassilyn. No American team will be in the draft lottery for once, so we actually have a chance. Finishing last would also mean the #3 overall pick in the import draft.

Great crowd of just under 5,100 for the last place team in the OHL, probably another 5,000 on Saturday. Most teams would kill for crowds that big. I see teams like Saginaw are struggling with attendance, maybe the CUP should have been awarded to a more deserving city like the SOO.

BTW it's an embarrassment to the league in my view that #19 on Saginaw only got two games for his 'incident'. Apparently he did it twice in the same game, including against his former teammate who was just traded. So 1 game for each 'incident'. What a joke. He didn't play tonight due to delayed arrival from the top prospects game so he basically got suspended one game.

Some thoughts...

Looking at the goals against...

1. Beck sneaks in, gets the puck, and beats Donoso. You can't give him that much room. Cristoforo tried to get him but it was too late.
2. Donovan scoring from the point can't happen. Create traffic, create something... but don't allow that to start the third period.
3. Hay works past Toms, gets the puck on net, then is all alone and puts it over Donoso's pad. That was on Toms... he let him go and that's a no-no.
4. Willis gets in behind everyone and beats Donoso low. Again, they let the guys slide wherever desired.
5. A tipped point shot. I don't fault Donoso here.

- When you outshoot a top contender through 40 and have a lead with 10 minutes to go, you're doing something right. Windsor was strong defensively, capitalized on offence, and played the game we know they're capable of.
- The Hay goal was the backbreaker. First, you allow a goal to open the period. Then, you allow one the shift after you make it 4-2? No. Can't happen. Plant the guy on his ass.
- That set up Saginaw to pounce like nobody's business. Props to them for not quitting, I guess?
- Speaking of props, Cristoforo had a huge blocked shot in the third and had issues skating to the bench, so stuck it out on the ice. Something something "soft"? I know, I know, "HIT HIM AND CLEAR THE NET!" Yeah...
- Smith with two points and a really solid overall effort. Can we get that every game?
- I don't know what it is about Donoso and the point shots. The Hounds did it multiple times and now the Spirit follow suit? He's great down low and I thought he was in for a fantastic night. Then, the point shots start coming. Is he being screened? Is he just flubbing them? I don't get it.
- The elephant in the room - Hay and Winegard. Props to Tanner for getting it over with fairly early. You knew it was coming, though I kind of wanted Zito to do the deed. Winegard did well, though, and you know he's got your back.
- 5,000+ crowd. Keep that going!

Petes on Saturday, then in Saginaw on Sunday. You need at least two points from that, somehow. Figure it out.

I'm taking tonight as a glass half full idea. Yep, they lost... and it wasn't a pretty way to end the game. However, you take the 6th rated team in Canada to the third period, up 4-2, that's not bad. They played 45 minutes of hockey. If they can figure out the other 15, they'll be set. There's a lot to work on and everyone agrees with that, but there were plenty of positives tonight, too. I think most could agree with that. Onto the next......
