The return for Peer should be good. Not sure what I am missing but the SOO gave up a 2nd, 3rd and a 4th plus Sirizzotti for Jacob Frasca. What the heck? Sirizzotti has been nearly as productive as him.

Peer has better numbers. I am expecting at minimum a 2nd and a 3rd plus an OA.

So far, we are not amused. Haven’t heard a peep. Where is Rychel when we need him?

The "haven't heard a peep" thing has generally still done well for us over the last two deadlines.

I'll give some thoughts on today later when I have a minute. I will say this - Bowler was in attendance all weekend. Whether that's normal for the road, or not, I don't know.

Just comparing numbers isn’t fair to Frasca but still…that’s a LOT of picks to make up the difference. Maybe Peer will fetch a nice return.

First off, the Meridian Centre is a beautiful rink. I don't think there are many bad views in there. The concourse reminds me of Sarnia or the Soo where you walk around the top of it and head down to the seats.

The loss today wasn't from a lack of effort, generally speaking. They were pressing, getting shots on net, but the Niagara D was holding them to the outside for the most part. The players constantly came back to the bench looking frustrated. Costanzo also looked very frustrated at times.

This was my first time up close seeing Torres and Newbury working together. Torres is quieter than others, no question, but he's more observant and talks to his players more one-on-one than yelling everything (unless he's mad). Newbury was a bit louder but nothing bad.

Props to Greentree for being a voice on the bench. A player missed an opportunity to take a shot, but instead deked into a turnover, and Greentree told the bench to shoot if the chance is there.

The talk about pickles and mustard is hilarious. Other players have joined in so, if it works, it works.

There was very little talk about Spitfires trades this weekend, other than on here. Bowler was in attendance both nights, though, so who knows.

I'm sorry but my patience for 74s lack of engagement in front of our net is passing me off. He let's 2 dogs barrage Joey and stands on the other side of net. Unacceptable!! The only true effort is when he sees a potential offensive chance and then skates hard. I'd trade the entire Niagara D for our entire D without hesitation.
I’d be happy to have him In Kitchener.

The fact that BB was at both games is significant to me. IMHO Bowler was getting a good look at the players who could make up his overage group next year (8) and his import selections. I’d imagine he’s had offers for the likes of a few of these players. My guess is that perhaps he’ll try to parlay Abraham, Spellacy and others in search of a young goaltender or D-Man with big potential. Certainly the O/A are in play but this team is 2 years away from being a top contender. It should and needs to be a very busy weekend. This past weekend should put to rest the silly ideas of challenging for a playoff spot.

With Sarnia and Flint moving players out then Windsor might be 8th by default. Now if Windsor does move some players out then a lottery pick is likely in the cards. I'm OK with it either way as long as they stay competitive.

Joey seemed OK yesterday but hard to be good with little or no support. Team D could use some help but it needs to be future driven. Coaching and kids listening are sometimes a problem. I can't see a coach telling these kids if you are in trouble in the corner throw it in front of the net. There was a lot of that yesterday. I'm starting to warm up to Eichler. He's young and definitely showing signs of improvement. He's showing a strong case to keep him around. Zhugin on the other hand has not shown much.

Next few days will be tough on these kids. Being on a team that is in sell mode has them looking over their shoulder. Be real nice when this is over and we can just talk about hockey. Be safe.

Agree with you on the import and O/A situations. While I’m sure teams will be after a couple of our potential O/A for next year it should only be in the case of the return being very important younger pieces. With the O/A deadline being noon tomorrow it wouldn’t surprise me to see movement of our O/A guys this afternoon. As we never hear regarding who goes on waivers that process is probably ongoing right now.

London just traded for OA center Kaleb Lawrence from Ottawa. 67's making room for another OA center? Maybe that Peer rumor to 67's has some teeth.
They have 3 OAs and just traded for 2 of them Kressler and Mayer. Donoso is their 3rd OA and their starting goalie. Peer most likely isn't a take for Ottawa.

Ottawa fan here....provided our starting goalie (MacKenzie) is healthy, indications are we'll add another OA centre (and a BUG) and then deal out Donoso. Not sure if Peer is the guy we're after or not, however.

MacKenzie is the starter….injured.

Donoso is from Windsor. Ottawa getting another OA leaving Donoso on the outside. Michelone from Ottawa…..

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I was going to ask along those same lines. Could we see something like Donoso + Hilton + picks for Michelone + Peer + ?

The only concern I'd have is where does that leave Costanzo? He'd be the back-up, or a tandem at the very least, and I'm not sure he wants that.
