The squad earned a point on the road against a team ahead of them in the standings. Hard to be unhappy about that. Outwater took that dirty slash after his goal and did not return, hopefully not a serious injury to him, somehow the Spitfires didn't get a power play out of that. Davis as mentioned, only played a few shifts. They did well considering.

Will be a late night getting into the Niagara region. These 2pm games after a night game with travel are dumb.

Agree with what u wrote about Outwater, PPs were 3-1 on favor of Erie, not a good look considering what happened to Outwater, take the point and move on.
Agree also with your take on 2.00 games especially playing night before, more importantly with travel particularly with the Opposition not playing or traveling night make it equal not looking for favors.
Spits now 3-0-2-1 in last 6 games,8-4-2-1 since coaching change and 9 of those 15 have been on the road impressive imo.

Hard to argue Greentree and Davis but I did question Maillet over Peer or Abraham.
Lots of times decisions made on how players do in practice in a given week, normally I would go with Greentree, Peer and Abraham but for example if both Davis and Maillet were great in practice I would take my chances.

Windsor has had more pp against other teams and not a mention...
All teams go thru travel situations throughout season. Windsor shouldn't be except.. they agreed to the schedule long ago..

The slash on Outwater was reviewed. He dropped his gloves incredibly fast and favoring his nose. Hopefully it’s not broken and is precautionary.

I don't know what's going on with Outwater but, from my seat, it looked bad. He was slumping like he had messed up his shoulder and didn't return. It was tough to see HOW it happened but I just hope the guy is okay.

Solid crowd tonight. It was Nickelodeon night so lots of old school (90s, early 2000s) tunes. Throw in a cold beverage and it was fun as hell.

After the last game in Erie, I'll take the point. Clearly, you wanted two but one is better than none. Now, to get two in Niagara.

Davis scored so that worked well as with Greentree . 3 straight against is hard to defend. Not blaming Michelone. It I why I hate shootouts period. Play 65 minutes as a team and one on one decides it for tge extra point. Fine if you win lol but sucks when it goes against. I'd rather see 3 on 3 until it's over. Maybe less teams would settle for a tie late in the 3rd or better, no points to tie and 2 points to the OT winner.

Why do you mention things such as one team playing the night before vs the other team being fresh, and think that's a sign of lack of equality or unfairness? You know full well that the Spits have played teams who played the night before or have played a team playing its 3rd in 3. It all evens out, it's certainly not a sign of inequality. It's not even possible for the schedule maker to even the playing field in the way you suggest would be fair. Ask Soo fans about travel.

Sudbury plays in Sarnia Friday night and then Saturday night in Windsor. Windsor plays Wednesday at home and then "rests" until they play Sudbury Saturday night at home. It should never be considered a "factor " all year long long for any team. It is just the schedule they all agreed to.

Always a fun place to watch game in Erie. Spits have had their troubles there so to get a point is not the worst result.

Davis was definitely having some sort of issue, not playing much and looked sluggish but scored in the shoot out. Go figure. Yes we Don't know why players are picked for a shoot out but they should lean towards the hot hand and Abraham has been on fire so I can't figure why he was not one of the three?

Outwater starting to play better and hopefully nothing too serious for him. I thought it was a slash to his arm but they did not show a replay so hard to tell?

FYI it is Michelone not Nick- a - lony! To think the media guide is right in front of them.

Peer looked pretty disinterested last night. Maybe he is reading too much social media.

On to Play the puppies. They like the Spits are playing better hockey so it will be a tough one today. May well be another ot game today!

Everyone in the league is a head of them. Good news is they are playing the only team behind them today. We should be guaranteed to win. Today. Right?
