The first concern is how you got to Erie in 4 hours?!?!

I think it was... 4.5 hours? I'm not far from the Bridge... so Detroit to Toledo, I-80 to I-281 to I-90 and into the city. Set the cruise, hit no major traffic, no extra stops, and go. Far easier than I thought, really.
Very strong swimmer….

I'd get 15 feet out and say "Nah, I'm good..." LOL
Why on Gods green Earth would you stay a night in Erie instead of Niagara Falls?

I'm here two nights; I have friends I'm seeing tomorrow. That IS my "filet mignon." It's been several years since I've seen them.

The Spits, since the coaching change are playing like I expected them to play all season. I figured they would easily make the playoffs (this was preseason). Brock Otten picked them for 4th. The only conclusion that I can draw from this season is that they made a horrible coaching decision up front. I don't know if the systems were bad (doesn't seem like much changed) or if the previous coach couldn't motivate the players.

Terrible decision by Bowler and owners.

Josh Bloom is no better than the 3 you have now? I’m gonna have to disagree on that one.
I’d take Bloom over Maillet as well. I like what we’re getting out of Peer and Mancini though. “Better”? Define better.

Would I straight up move Peer or Mancini for Bloom right now if I was GM of Windsor? No.

Big two points needed at this time in the season. Erie is not to far ahead of us in the standings and these would be a big 2 points to give up.

Hope Costanzo gets the nod today against a conference opponent and Michelone tomorrow against the Ice Dogs. Joey has been looking more engaged and has been playing better.

Hope to see a full 60 minute effort tonight from The players. Havent seen too many complete efforts this year. Erie is always a hard arena for the Spitfires to Win in it seems. Going to need fo see a 200 foot game.

Go Spits Go!!

Bowler dealt Christopoulis without hesitation 49 goals last year. IF a team wants Peer he will be moved as well. It gives Nesbitt more ice to develop or find out if he is a bust. Same for Outwater, Spellacy, Davis. Less Peer provides youth development minutes for others. This season is a bust. Develop the future and draft position. Other than Nesbitt, even Walton had 1 game playoff experience last year with Sudbury so the meaningful "playoff experience" is a wash

Draft lottery weighted 40, 30, 20, 10 for bottom 4 so 19th or 20th suits me fine. We don't have the HC position solidified anyways. Proud their playing better hockey since HC change but I don't want to throw away a lottery pick or spending to get into the playoffs where we all know we are too inconsistent in net and D in several depts to make any noise.

Only way We should receive an O/A at this stage is as an add in in a trade that brings back a pair of thirds for Peer. Or as an add in that brings back other draft picks. We can always waive O/A as long as it’s before the O/A deadline.
Oh, I agree. I was just responding to Bloom being no better than the 3 OA’s Windsor currently has. I think he’s a fair bit better than any of the 3. Mancini is probably more valuable to the Spits right now but I’d take Bloom over any of the 3 in a second without hesitation.
