When you're one of the worst teams in the league I don't think the office component should go into any thinkingbof whether you keep him. If you have a decent offer he goes.

I can understand that but, at the same time, they have to take the room into consideration, especially after what happened in November. You can't tighten the room (which at least one player has stated post-game), then expect sunshine and rainbows when you mess with key parts of it 40ish days later. It's a delicate balance that can't be ignored.

IMHO….I think it’s possible Peer gets traded for a 2 3rds, a fifth and an O/A. This clears space for Peer. If it were to happen sooner rather than later because of the complexity of the trade.
I don't think that's a complicated trade at all?

I think Windsor is positioned to rebound quickly and make some noise next year. Playoff experience should absolutely be the goal this year. Sell if you can while still squeaking in, if not it's likely better to ride this current group to the 8th seed.
I would slow your roll with that. The 04s have been terrible for the team. They don't have many productive 05s. The 06s other than Greentree and Davis have been underwhelming to say the least. Too early on 07s but they only have 1 07 getting any experience to work towards next year. Next year they could be better but the bigger deal is to clear the deck. Sort out the passengers and don't let them near the arena next year. They need to find a coach. Even Bowler's job security should be in question.

Isn't Woodall an 06?

I have a hard time finding any western teams beyond London and Saginaw that look to be better than Windsor next season.

ROOM INTO CONSIDERATION “ The 2nd worse team in the league is not going to get much worse IMHO. If we stand pat and win 60% of our games we’d be a very long shot to get past round one. This train has too many passengers and a goodly number need to be on Jr B Teams.

Great road win up in the GTA, the Steelheads were a few men down but only thing i care about is the compete level of our team which was really good and the goaltending was reliable, that is needed in this second half of the season if the spitfires are to be relevant down the stretch here.

Nice to see the spitfires in action against Christopoulous. Going to need a solid effort against the spirit to pull out the two points, they've been very avarage lately in a big year hosting, i expect a strong effort after there last lost. Spitfires are going to need to match their level of compete and play a well structured game to win.

Will be interesting to see who starts in net tonight and following game tomorrow against the Sting. Also interesting to see the coaching habits and style without Bowler on the Bench. Really just want to see another well lfought game with good goaltending, lets hope so because all points are big point right now.

Go Spitfires Go!!

Kitchener still has a lot of talent returning. Rehkopf, a loaded 04 group, 4 07s are playing with Lam having an outstanding rookie year, Ellinas an 06 with a good rookie year. Probably return one of their goalies. Not to mention they're doing pretty good this year.

Kitchener next year is like Peterborough this year. They will have no choice but to sell.

For me it's a win/win with Peer. Either you get something for a player you got for free or you keep him. We will never know the value of an offer unless he is traded. If he stays then Bowler would have to think keeping him was of greater value. It would be nice to let him finish here but if he gets a chance to go to a competitive team and Spits get a good offer then so be it. Have to put our fandom aside occasionally and wish him all the best.
Yes. Do what best for team
Pomp poms away..

The other thing to consider is that Bowler's already traded three fan favourites in DeA, Christo, and Dionicio. Peer's right up there, if not beyond, in popularity. How do you explain that to the fans who booed him after the last deal?
Fans will always develop new favourites. this is not a big deal

Well have to say I'm impressed with Colton Smith's effort the last few games. Couple of nice moves on the PK. Not sure if he is responding better to the new coaches but really hope he keeps this up. Spits need him to contribute.

was interesting to see 3 forwards start OT. And that final line out there as soon as I saw them matched with Christopoulos, I went, uh-oh.

Not a bad game, Saginaw was down Sapovaliv and Dionicio.

Abraham and Smith have stepped it up lately. I still see Smith as a 4th liner tho. The size of Nesbitt/Martin/Spellacy on the same line has to be intimidating, I hope they can get something going and develop some chemistry. That could be an interesting trio next year if they gel

You are correct both Abraham and Smith have picked things up especially Abraham who had 3 points tonight and was a constant threat.
Good sign didn't give up after being down 2-0 in the 1st period.
Spits are now 7-4-1 since the coaching change, and that's very good considering 8 of those 12 games have been played on the road, where they are 5-2-1,and 3-0-1 in their last 4 on the road.
Strange when see Peer,Greentree, and Maillet all take minor penalties during the game, when all 3 had 10 minutes each for the year coming in and last one taken by Maillet resulted in the tie goal sending game to OT.
