Pickle juice does reduce muscle cramping in people with cirrhosis. Highly doubt Peer has that lol. But to much pickle juice leads to excessive gas, high blood pressure and believe it or not increased muscle cramping. Fine balance I guess. If it works for him, great. Gas might negate some defensive coverage in the corners lol. I get my pickle juice fix from the bar at the arena ordering a Caesar.

I think Windsor is positioned to rebound quickly and make some noise next year. Playoff experience should absolutely be the goal this year. Sell if you can while still squeaking in, if not it's likely better to ride this current group to the 8th seed.
Solid post agree with everything stated.
Since coaching chance team has made dramatic improvement in almost every area, goaltending, PP,PK,plus minus, defensively much better, both goalies playing well unlike the 1st 21 games,ie PP was 16th overall, now it's 11th,PK was 20th now after 11 games 16th,PP last 11 games 25% effiency,PK,87.5,1st 21 games PP was 16.7%,and PK was 70.7% .
Goalies both them were averaging 5.67 goals against, the last 11 games 3.00 per game excluding empty netters, last 11 games team is 7-4, 1st 21 games 4-16-1,quite the turnaround, especially considering 7 of the past 11 games have been on the road and they are 5-2 for those road games.
Kris Newbury goes behind the bench and the Spits win, just like when Bowler and Torres went behind the bench.
Should be an interesting weekend with games ,Saturday at Saginaw and Sunday here vs Sarnia.
Saturday I would go back to Costanzo in goal at Saginaw and Sunday go with Michelone who btw is lone Windsor goalie to beat Sarnia this season far.
Looking forward to the next few games before the trade deadline, seeing who stays and who if anyone gets moved, though I suspect Castle and Struthers will probably be gone shortly, as for anyone else can't say yet.
Must say I am enjoying the recent resurgence.

Former apprised baseball player used to use another briny substance on his hands. Worked well for him.

These are the future draft picks that the Spits are missing in the next four years……

24….3….5…6………12
25……..4……….10….12
26….3…..5……………12
27…..3…..5
Hopefully we can get some of these picks back in the next few days.

Punch which players would the Spits offer up this season for trades in your opinion?

Here are the Spitfire’s remaining games before the trade deadline. The Spits are scheduled to play on the deadline (Jan 10th) but I think the deadline is 12:00 noon. Correct me if I’m wrong. The O/A deadline is the 9th which would affect the 3 Spit O/A if they were to be moved.

You won't get 2 2nds but you would likely get 1 2nd and maybe a 3rd or 4th with possibly 1 more lower pick. That sounds high but he is 8th in scoring for the league. Hence there is interest.

I didn't necessarily mean two 2nds but at least a 2+3 for me to even start the conversation. Like I said before, Peer's one of those guys that's tough for me to deal because he's valuable off the ice, too. I'll even go as far as saying I hope he's not traded.

For me it's a win/win with Peer. Either you get something for a player you got for free or you keep him. We will never know the value of an offer unless he is traded. If he stays then Bowler would have to think keeping him was of greater value. It would be nice to let him finish here but if he gets a chance to go to a competitive team and Spits get a good offer then so be it. Have to put our fandom aside occasionally and wish him all the best.

It's not so much fandom as it's knowing what he brings off the ice and appreciating that aspect of his game.

IMHO….I think it’s possible Peer gets traded for a 2 3rds, a fifth and an O/A. This clears space for Peer. If it were to happen sooner rather than later because of the complexity of the trade.
