This is still worthy...

OS trades Guidon to Kingston for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th... teams swap 10ths. All picks 2026 and beyond. It sets a bit of a standard, for now.

So IF Windsor trades for an OA D who is the odd man out? Do they keep 4 OA's until after camp or beyond?
I think the only lock is Abraham.
Smith and Morneau will have to prove their worth and or maybe another team would have some interest?
I also think they need to consider offers for Abraham at the deadline. He would definitely stir interest.
Any thoughts?

The Brampton #Steelheads acquire #SeaKraken prospect Carson Rehkopf from the Kitchener #Rangers in exchange for a PBO 2nd (‘25), GUE 2nd (‘26), 2nd (‘27), KIT 3rd (‘25), PBO 3rd (‘25), 3rd (‘28), LDN 4th (‘25), PBO 4th (‘26), 4th (‘27) and a 7th (‘26)

Wow

Ouch. I'd wait unless trade a roster player for one. Not a go for it season this year. Save picks for when you can really make hay.

I wish the league would reduce the entry draft to 8-10 rounds max so fringe players can be free agents and maybe reduce the current ridiculous cost of overpaying. If teams only have 1-2 2nds or 3rds that will become the new price.

Smart move by Kitchener to move him now. After the trade deadline last year he basically disappeared so better to move him now before his value would drop.

I don't see much interest.
And if teams aquire about them, Bowler asks for too much in return.
Stick with the youth movement..

When he's on, Smith can get a multi point game. When he's off, you forget he's in the lineup. The issue is that ratio is about 1:10. If you can get a midround pick, take it and run.

As for Rehkopf... pay to play. Good for both teams.

Eager to see what Bowler does.

Brampton is loaded. Rehkopf and Martone together is going to be crazy. Brampton will have 6 OHL 1st round picks in their lineup. They can recoup draft picks by moving 1 of their goalies and go shopping some more.

supply and demand, smith is a dime a dozen right now. he’ll be waived before traded imo

Trading or not trading Smith is the least of our problems this year. I’m guessing he will be moved on the waiver wire or as an add on in a deal for a player’s rights.
