Cons:
-6 for Christoforo
9 Goals against Donoso
-4 for Woodall
-3 for Greentree, even with a pair of goals
We got a point for overtime
.742 save % for Donoso tonight

Pros:
They didn't give up.
I'd blame Greentree more on the blocked shot than Christoforo for pinching in a 3 on 3 situation.
Aside from our goalie, we didn't have an OA and hung with Sudbury in a sloppy fashion
Gaymes (06) has 2 goals in 2 games played
Struthers doubled his points on the season tonight (1G - 1A)
3 points for both Smith and Martin
Greentree 0 for 1 - was the only guy that took a draw and went under 50% on the night.

Another pro is down 8-6 with less then 6 minutes tieing it up to go to OT
Another pro taking 3 points of 4 this season against 2nd place team in the East and scoring 19 goals in those 2 games and Toure missed both games against his old team mates.
Another con is allowing 3 goals in the first or last minute of a period.

On the plus side Manzo was a +3

Another pro is dman Conor Walton (17) acquired from Sudbury start of year for Nick Deangelis (19) and 5 draft picks including 2-2nds,1 3rd,6th and 15th in the 2 games which Sudbury scored 16 goals was a+5 in those 2 games while Deangelis was a -1 in those 2 games,Walton had 1 assist in the 2 games, while Deangelis had 2 assists though both were pointless tonight

I have no problem with that loss. Zero OA's and a depleted lineup and scored 8 against Sudbury without Abraham and Davis. Man, that Wolves team has so much talent on forward, but they are similar to the Spitfires last year, need to score a ton of goals to win games. Not sure how they will do in the playoffs. I've always liked Sudbury mainly bc of their uniforms.

Goal scoring is not an issue and will only get better next season. Obviously, they need to improve the D and goaltending. Really hoping they finish below the Petes to get a 30% chance to win the lottery meaning two of either Wassilyn, Valentini or Belchetz will be there for the choosing at 2nd overall.

Also finishing below the Petes means the 6th pick in the import draft. I think you have to go with a d-man in the import pick instead of BPA unless the BPA is a high NHL pick (similar to Dvorsky) that is committing to coming here. Trade 2 of the 2025 2nds for a d-man in the offseason or in September.

Manzo looks good, he was a +3 tonight, he will be a solid d-man in this league, he should have been one of the rookies that made the team out of camp. I am ok with losing out, maybe record one more win at home. Cristoforo was always out there against Dvorsky or Musty, not easy guys to defend.

A couple of things...

I'm glad we know when this season is going to end. Last season, we walked out of Game 2 against Kitchener expecting at least a Game 5 at home. When we got swept, I had this empty feeling because I was planning on being back at the rink, talking to people, and having fun. At least now we know better.

Say what you want about our D but Musty and Dvorsky have combined for 70+ goals this season and are two NHL first-rounders. Nobody's stopping them.

Getting up 5-2 on the Wolves is an accomplishment. Being down 7-5 sucks and shows the Jekyl-and-Hyde nature of the team. However, then forcing OT... you can't count these guys out of any game, regardless of the score. Yes, losing sucks, but I'll take a team that goes down swinging over a team that goes "eh, we're down... onto the next game."

Eight points from depth guys like Martin, Struthers, Gaymes, and Morneau; you're going to need that this season and next. I doubt Struthers is back but, at the very least, he's building up some sort of value for a trade. Martin's showing definite worth; just have to keep his stupid PIM totals down. Morneau is making a case for an OA spot. Gaymes is showing he could play at this level and, for a 15th round pick, I won't argue.

I like Donoso, I really do, but... I'm not sure I trust him in goal. Let Costanzo get the bulk of the work moving forward and get ready for next season.

Flint got hammered in Kitchener so our single point means... Windsor is 14 points back with seven games left. A single Flint point gained or a single Windsor point lost from here on out and the Spitfires are eliminated. In the ever so fraction of a chance that Windsor ties it, they'd have a tiebreaking game in Flint (per tiebreaker rules).

Oh, the lottery stuff... Windsor is five points up on Niagara for last and currently 0.06 percentage points behind Ptbo (who has a game in hand). I'm not terribly worried about Sarnia as they're six points up on Windsor with seven left.

He has to talk about the pros before he shines Bowler's shoes. 5 to 6 months from now he will convince us that adding Manzo, import and 2nd round pick will improve the D. In reality they are a full year away from being even average on D. Bowler has allowed so many bad habits to fester they will continue to pay the price moving forward.

Back in early November the writing was starting to be in the wall for Windsor season. Unless your head was in the sand...

Another con is you replying to me cause this place is better when we stay away from each other cause we both need the last word.

The best part is he never mentioned that DeAngelis had a 24 game point streak during the year... Now acquiring Walton was a big win for Bowler??? I guess +- is the new pet rock. Goal differential of -95, coach fired, assistant coach mutiny, new assistant coach suspended by Hockey Canada. Trying to polish this turd of a season is despicable but not surprising because someone always has to side with the Bowler. Nevermind the fact this same person thought Savard was a bad coach because he didn't win an OHL title. People don't forget.....

The writing was on the wall when the made JS coach. From the first day at camp to the exhibition game 2 weeks later the team drastically regressed.

If there is any chance of improving, a new, proper coaching staff is mandatory (this season, Kitchener has displayed how pro coaches can help players improve)

IMO this team needs a former "NHLer " to buy and run this team!

All new coachig staff, better scouts, better drafted, players that actually play defense would be a start.
Bowler needs to be better. This season was the worst and starts with Bowler.
