Nah, I figured the team had one win in them, at least. They were good enough to get that, regardless of how the Rangers were playing.
But they weren't good enough to get that, in reality.
Yes it was very surprising to us OHL fans and more specifically Spits fans but you are what your record says you are. They weren't good enough.

That's made public? I'm not sure.

Players are going to develop at different rates; it's not linear, nor should it be. As I've said before, if you temper your expectations about Cristo, you're going to be fine. Whether people want to or not is another story.
Temper expectations? He played 63 games last year 41 points +10. He has 3 games to play to score 4 points to tie last year PPG. However, there is a -47 plus minus deficit from last year. Last year he did engage some physicality. If you cannot see that he has seriously regressed this year is being blind. Not to be sharp but the increased ice time playing with our top players and 1.5 minutes of every PP, he should have destroyed his point total even if he didn't improve his defensive approach. Neither has happened. I must be blind, except all the scouts see the same thing. 74 was our 1st round pick. Woodall was a 10th rounder with some bite, same size and can meet 74's offense now, but with half the OHL experience. Is Woodall a total stop gap defensively, no. But I believe he projects ahead of 74 long term. Bad 1st round 06 pick by Bowler, hpwever congratulations on a great 10th round pick.

There are sites where you can get info n stats, can't remember where, sorry. And it's not the plus/minus 80s stats some really on selectively ;).
Christo is what he is. And could be a very important piece on a back end as a 3/4 yr player. Seems like he is being asked to be more than he is currently, due to the roster make up. He isnt a #1 now.
Having said that the tire pumping by a select few who have an interest in always shinning positives Hasn't helped him with fans. He was touted as in same league as Dickinson.......that's what selective stat watching does.
Again I think he could be a very very good OHL player on a team with a make that compliments him. If his head is on straight as far as not getting frustrated puts in the work and uses this year as a learning experience he will be worth holding onto. Kid has skills, just isn't a 5 tool player.

Joey really strong period thankfully. Is it just me or is it despectful for a player to shoot the puck into your own met after a goal? 74 has done it tonight and 3 times in the last 4 games

Shooting the puck into your own goal after you're scored on? Nah, I've seen that dozens of times over the years and nobody says a peep about it. Now, shooting the puck into the other goal after you scored? Much different.

An expected start tonight - quick goal, but then Soo takes over. Costanzo playing like a rock with 20 saves so far.

74 "aka" Charmin gets a pass I guess...
