Morneau played a couple of shifts in the first and on the PK in the first. Beyond that, not much.Gotta be happy with the string of games since acquiring Wright. Now have a three-point lead on London. How did Niagara give Constanzo away for nothing?? Spits basically played with 10 forwards as Morneau was in the lineup but did not have a shift.
Wright has been solid. He won't dazzle like a Patrick Kane but is a smart, high IQ player who pays attention to detail in the defensive zone. Reminds me of Wyatt Johnston. Wright now with 6 points. Dionicio 9 points in 5 games, crazy good.
Oh my bad. He played a lot last night, so it's a bit surprising. Hopefully not an injury.Morneau played a couple of shifts in the first and on the PK in the first. Beyond that, not much.
Also Greentree not playing much in the 3rd as well. Spits relying on their vets as the game worn down. They were gassed at the end but boxed London out pretty good. London not scoring on the 4 on 3 was a good sign for team D. Nice win.Oh my bad. He played a lot last night, so it's a bit surprising. Hopefully not an injury.
Very proud of this group after this weekend going 3-0 in the 3-1/2 days against teams rested and waiting especially London contributions from everyone, hopefully Morneau isn't out long has been very valuable especially with Smith and Abraham out,Spits go with 9 forwards plus Jodoin for the last 2 periods, every new player has contributed since they have arrived, especially Dionicio, Harrison and Wright, toss in Holmes and I thought Castle played his best game even though he went pointless especially the last 2 periods when Windsor was down to 9 forwards the last 2 periods. Also Greentree not playing much in the 3rd as well. Agree and if Onuska needs healing time,I have no doubt Michelone can handle an occasional start, but like u said Constanzo is the man period.Goaltending all comes down to the self-control of the coaching staff now. Costanzo has shown all season he's more than capable of being the clear cut #1 for this team, and hopefully the unfortunate event that lead to him getting four straight starts will finally solidify this in the minds of the staff as well. Anything else is inexcusable.
Morneau was injured in 1st period. Loer body, either foot or ankle.Oh my bad. He played a lot last night, so it's a bit surprising. Hopefully not an injury.
Copeland not that good.Bowler needs to keep Niagara on speed dial. He should start scouting some off-season targets right now to fleece next - Juan Copeland?
Agree you could tell it was 3 games in 3-1/2 days with triple travel against a home team with previous day off and no travel.Team was holding on for dear life in the third. Could tell it was a back to back and 3rd game in 4 days.
Wright looks good - him just being on the ice opens lanes for teammates. Great defensive player also.
Joey with 3 wins in 4 nights. ’nuff said.
This !!Kudo's to Savard for not allowing Hunter to play the trap game. You could see Hunter losing his mind on the London Bench. Windsor wanted someone to try and chase them out from behind the net, allowing some room for a break out. When they wouldn't chase, they waited. Not the most exciting game to watch, but very smart in my opinion.
Unfortunately GM there may have learned his lesson and took a page from Bowler's playbook as he fleeced Flint by trading winger Nolan Dann there for 6 draft picks, 1-2nd,3-3rds and 2-4thsBowler needs to keep Niagara on speed dial. It's delay of game, similar to a goalie holding on to a puck with no opposing players are close to them. It is purely a judgment call by the refs. It was not called, surprisingly and mostly because London was making no attempt to engage in the play as well. Benches were warned and then it happened again so the refs blew the play dead and had the face off at center ice. Refs realized that both teams were partaking in a delay of game so hence no penalty and the neutral zone faceoff. You probably see a bench minor if it happened again. I'm not a fan of these options but both coaches were not going to be intimated by each other. The plot thickens. This !!
Please someone explain the rule for not allowing a team to employ this strategy behind the net and a call for a face off at center ice. If one team can stand in the neutral zone, why can’t the other stand behind the net?

It's not delay of game. There's a specific rule for refusing to play the puck. No penaltyIt's delay of game, similar to a goalie holding on to a puck with no opposing players are close to them.
