Does it make our D as good or better than London? No. Is our G tandem as good or better than London? No. With their recent acquisitions is the F group better? No. And they may get Harrison yet. Just say’in.

How is the forward group not better than London? This is the highest scoring team and apparently are about to add one of the better forwards in the league.

From the spits Facebook:
So… either 2 trades have happened and they’re swapping around some picks in the graphics or… they need a new social media team so we can find out what we actually paid

I can’t imagine what Wright is going to go for…

So Spits Twitter was right, Spits Facebook was wrong.

2nd, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th for Sudbury Captain, Holmes

Where there is smoke there is fire. Wouldn’t be surprised to see the next trade have 2 2nds, 3 3rds, and a 5th out…

Probably a good assumption…..

Sounds like Harrison but Oshawa seemed to be holding out for bodies in that deal though.

Definitely an overpayment by a bit but he improves our D Core 4-7 and adds experience and leadership which undervalued. No roster player given up. I'm hoping for another Defensive Defenseman to be on the way to our squad soon before the deadline day, especially if there's no Onuska trade coming. Excited to see some kind of movement towards a direction, and not just dead in the water. Lots of teams have been active. Nice to see Bowler finally do something at least.

i just think thats so much for a 3/4.
It arguably is but very few D have gone in solo deals (non OAs) Kyrou seems like the only other big time deal out there. Moore/Murray were both 02s. Petrovski went to OS but slim pickins on D unless you want to wait out for DelMastro or Clarke. I am guessing the Spits had interest in Kyrou but along with many other deals Bowler rarely likes to send players out during the year. Daviault went to Erie and I doubt Bowler wanted to move any D. So the only way to compensate is to include more picks.

That's a big price for Holmes.

Hopefully it works.
D can't get any worse.
Bb finally did a trade...

I don’t hate the Holmes trade even with the price. We needed an upgraded D with Holmes being the Sudbury Captain, it’s likely he’s a positive guy in the room. To me, it seems management is afraid to throw that chemistry off.

If Holmes returns, we’ll likely get a solid return for one of our OA’s next year. All seem like assets at the OHL level, but
None seem to be ready to make that jump.

If we add a forward then Abraham returns, it’ll push out McIlwin & Johnston. IMO I could see Martin stay here without a trade. I’ll admit I’m pretty high on the kid but he can find the back of the net and his size is hard to overlook, especially as an 05. He keeps getting the call, so it may not be a this year thing with the commit to buying, but I could see him being impactful in the future
