3rd round in 2026 which is great
but need the picks in 2024-2025

hopfully we get the other Oa*s back and can recoup some of this
shane Wright returned would be good for us as well

Definitely didn’t prove to be worth what we paid, but glad we were able to get a halfway decent return before everyone filled in their OA slots.

Good to see the ball start rolling, hopefully we can continue to ship out pieces early before clubs fill their OA slots and we have to do a fire sale on 03’s
They have a lot of work to fix that D.

Delete Renwick Holmes Sobolev(likely) Jodoin

Add Woodall

Most likely DeAngelis would be a top 2 and that's not a good thing.

Actually for 2024 they did get a 6th from Kingston and Niagara 's 4th which probably will be like a late 3rd(early 4th),already have a conditional 4th in 2024(Missy),so basically missing a 2nd and 5th for 24 with plenty of time to fill open spots.
2025 needs work no doubt I trust the process.

I believe the import draft is this coming week. If my memory serves me, I believe the Spits can retain the rights to Sobolov, since he is an OA, and still have a selection. They can maintain 3 OAs until opening day. It would be nice to have Sobolov return. He is a very solid Defensive D'man. I don't expect much in the draft since the pool is not deep because of the ban on Russians.

the amount of trades we have made with you guys over the years is insane lmao.

Wouldn’t be surprised if there’s 1 more this year as it seems you guys are going to be re tooling players and kingston is seemingly going for it.

Windsor got back the 3rd, 4th and 6th they traded for Holmes, only thing missing is 2 2nds.

Wouldn’t be surprised if this was Part 2 to the Wright trade. Getting Kingston a veteran D at our cost of 2 2nds… which we didn’t have left at the time.

DeAngelis as a Top 2 D Man in his 3rd year of the OHL, as a 19 year old, seems very fitting at not surprising at all.

That being said, Dionicio and Christoforo will be our most notable D, whether they get paired or not is TBD.

I’m not ruling out Sobolev or Jodoin yet, and if we’re canceling out Sobolev, I’m definitely not canceling our Jodoin.

Our most effective 3 OA will be Peer, Christopoulos and Maillet, but I doubt we don’t retain an 03 D Man.

Christoforo 06’
Dionicio 04’
DeAngelis 04’
Woodall 06’
-
Jodoin 03’
Sobolev 03’

If we keep an Overage D Man, we only need one guy to round out the top 6. I think a sell is an order, but I doubt Holmes was moved before management considered the number of D Men rostered.

Ex Spitfire Connor Corcoran will be available tomorrow . Now a UFA from Vegas. Always liked him but ….hope he catches on with a team that gives him a real shot. Also ex Spit Christian Fischer (Arizona) is UFA looking for a spot tomorrow.

This team needs some grit and an agitator! Fix that need first. It’ll also help protect younger players. Saying that means more than 1 guy. Team literally has none. Its likely going to take 3 guys. Saying that i hope somebody internal steps up to start. Finding even 2 guys that can play and add grit might be tough. I firmly believe its one of BB’s biggest mistakes. One not easily fixed.

Need defense also

So Dirty12 posted on another thread that if your import is a 1st round pick, NHL signed or an overager you can make a pick in the import draft and still hold the original import's rights. This means the Spits can hold onto Sobelev and make a pick tomorrow, 52nd pick. They will only have 1 pick as Dionicio is not a 1st round pick, signed or an OA.

DeAngelis - Columbus
Dionicio - Anaheim
Harrison - Boston
Maillet - Vancouver
Peer - Calgary
Wright - Seattle

Wonder how Abraham has been recovering as although his smaller stature, I expect him to be a major impact player this year.

Only name I’m surprised isn’t on that list is Christopoulos. He didn’t really start logging numbers until the 22’ playoffs but did had a 49 Goal season. Surprised no one is taking a closer look.
