I love fans of the team that rostered Ben Johnson throwing stones. A girl that wanted to get with Logan (probsbly because he’s a hockey star) and then did hook up with Logan and perform an act that both parties consented to. So she admittedly wanted to do it and I’m fairly confident there’s good odds SHE told a friend/friends about it. But Logan’s a kid and screws up and does the D-bag thing of taking a picture and showing it to friends. Total A-hole move for sure but….I have two daughters. If they came to me with that, I’d tell them that was on THEM for not using better judgement too. Now remind me again….What did Bennie the Spit do?
So because of what this certain poster said about Logan and because they are a spits fan (maybe they aren't? I don't know) it means that they condone what Johnson did? Doesn't sound like they're throwing stones to me, just stating their opinion on what was already posted.

As for the series, kinda shocked Kitch basically told everyone they would rather play windsor. Theres some real talent over there but its been a mess all year.
Redemption from London would cause Ryan Pyette to run around downtown Kitchener half naked laughing at everyone. It was deemed a public safety concern.

I am a Spits fan.
i am no fan of Ben Johnson. never was. He should have gone to jail much longer. the Spits handled that debacle poorly.
what Mailloux did was not a “mistake.” It was a crime. He knew it was a crime And he did it anyway because he, like many hockey players, think they are above the law and disrespectful to women. And PS. Women don’t get want to “get with” boys because they are hockey players. While this woman consented to being sexually physical with Mailloux, she did not know nor consent to being filmed. Stop victim blaming. I do feel sorry for your daughters.

Glad the league looked at the Dionicio escapade based on velocity and ferocity of the puck chucked by him. I think it is fair compared to some of the intent to injure suspensions. If a fan got hurt, obviously substantially higher number of games to be suspended.

Re:Mailloux- I did wonder while watching the Knights "family segment" during last week's intermission showing his sister and wondering how Mailloux would feel if it was his sister being exposed in a similar situation. Pretty sure he'd be out for blood against the perpetrator. His action and even worse was Johnson's have no place in hockey or the outside world. Both should have been banned for life IMO from the OHL. set the tone that this will never be excused or tolerated.

I think, as some have have mentioned above it is not worth the rehashed debate on here when it comes to certain off ice issues. People will dig in on both sides and it usually has more to do with personal fan allegiances than the actual acts, context, facts or non facts, incomplete info and posters will naturally try n slant things in to a certain perspective to suit themselves and rip on rivals lol.
I personally statyed out of it ( yes as a Knights fan lol) but have opinions. Just ask Ill share lol.
Better served for DMs.
Johnson n Mailloux are seperate issues and non comparable. JMO. Not picking sides here.
End of the day I'm going out on a limb and saying all teams have players and incidents, public or buried that are aren't acceptable. And more than a couple sadly.
Hockey stuff, have at er.

Geez, the team can't catch a break. Abraham out for the season, Dionicio out the first two games, and no De'Angelis for game 1 at least. Add Spellacy and that's 4 key players out. Every weekend a new player is injured, last week it was DeAngelis. Not sure I have seen such a bad string of unlucky injuries in my years of following the squad.

Game 1 won't be easy considering the absence of DeAngelis and Dionicio. The #5 and #6 d-man are going to be Jodoin and Woodall which means the top 4 d-men will be on the ice for about 50 minutes.

Great now I gotta get out the dictionary lol. I'm not Nelli the scholar.
Pragmatic?????? Google will be my friend.

I'd still expect the Spits to roll rd 1. Not sure it mattered who they got rd 1 or a few injuries ( they won the conf under the same "factors")
Guelph n Ktown really had good post deadline records, OS has a couple top end kids n can play a frustrating style....
All 3 of the top seeds should move on.
The favs with Vinnie in Vegas for rd 1......Sting, Spits, Knights in that order. Yes Vinnie is my imaginary Vegas odds maker.
Enjoy rd 1.

Last year seemed an almost polar opposite for Windsor(but the memory may be fading) yes I know some players played hurt.....that's the nature of the game. Out n non available is different.
Last year the LK board wasn't a fan of my next player up thinking lol. Is what it is and ya gotta run with the bodies ya got.

If OS was the opponent I wouldn't think it's too big of a deal, but Kitchener has all sorts of offensive scoring punch, being down two of your best d-men is a rough break. I think it's bad luck getting Kitchener in the first round. Of the top 4 seeds, the Spitfires get 1st place and have the most difficult opponent. I still have no idea how that team finished in 8th place.

You are what your record says you are. There is a reason they finished 8th and it wasn't based on sitting a handful of players in 1 game.
I agree the have potential for offense but that's all it is right now. Ask the KTown fans and they'll say they were also unlucky to draw WS instead of LK.
Just gotta play who sits in front of you. Last year one could suggest Spits got breaks in PO opponents (I'm not making that argument here) but heard it alot.
Spits wil be better off moving forward if pushed rd 1.
I'm not one who hopes for the easy road or blames luck/ non luck. Line em up and see what ya got.

I think Windsor should be just fine, if not they would not have been a serious contender regardless.

Edit.....having multi drafted players on a middle to poor can actually hurt a team's PO chances IF kids are looking forward and font wanna pay a price gor their current clubs knowing they are moving on n up as soon as this year exit from the OHL. Just an example and no inside info but is Mesat committed to paying a price for the Rangets needed knowing no matter what he moves on next year? Wright also (again not questioning these players just examples) seen it alot with drafted players. Some got it some don't as far as the GAF meter when they know there is more in future.

While I'm not inside his head, from all I've seen/heard, he's as committed as the rest of them. From day one (literally), I got the vibe that he's eager for the chance and his focus is currently here. I think a long playoff run with production (and solid defensive play) would go a long way with him next season in Seattle.

Our team leaves most of us not overly confident for the playoffs regardless of who we play. This team has shit the bed in several consecutive games a few times this year. As long as the opposition allows us to outscore our defense, we will win games. Tight hard nosed team with a somewhat hot goalie. 50/50 at best. Throw in Onuska posdiblyvstarting games. Geesh. Doesn't mean I'm not all in cheering Go Spits. Feel like a Leafs fan entering the playoffs. Potential high, yes. Confidence not so much.

Agree. Wrights effort cannot be questioned. Most consistent best 2 way player on the team by far. Appears he has taken a huge leadership role as well based on interactions with team mates in the past 7-8 games. Not surprised, he was Team Canada's captain for a reason.

I'm confident but the fact they are missing 2 of their top 4 d-man for the first two games might bring the confidence level down a few points lol. The Spitifires piled on the goals against Kitchener this season and that was before acquiring Harrison, Wright etc. I think it's definitely a lot more than 50/50 at best the Spitfires win the series.

Don't disagree, he looks like he wants to play to win. And Id expect leadership and quality play based on his play since MM on various teams. Kid has always taken a leadership role.

Really don't think what he does in the POs thou will matter much to Seattle or his development. They are invested if he lights it up n leads the way or underforms in a 2 week series.

He will/should bust his azz this summer to be ready in Sept for Seattle. I feel he will. He got a wake up call at the drsft.
An extra couple weeks won't change his trajectory much. JMO. He is what he is now and has faced much bigger microscope than this years PO run. For some players it may help them, totally agree.....for him he is what he is already.
I'd agree a long PO would be a feather in the cap, just don't think it'll make him a better player. Again JMO.

My 5050 was precluded with facing a hard checking team with a warm to hot goalie. If Kitchener plays us the same as they did this regular season. I am highly confident. GO SPITS!
