If OS was the opponent I wouldn't think it's too big of a deal, but Kitchener has all sorts of offensive scoring punch, being down two of your best d-men is a rough break. I think it's bad luck getting Kitchener in the first round. Of the top 4 seeds, the Spitfires get 1st place and have the most difficult opponent. I still have no idea how that team finished in 8th place.
You are what your record says you are. There is a reason they finished 8th and it wasn't based on sitting a handful of players in 1 game.
I agree the have potential for offense but that's all it is right now. Ask the KTown fans and they'll say they were also unlucky to draw WS instead of LK.
Just gotta play who sits in front of you. Last year one could suggest Spits got breaks in PO opponents (I'm not making that argument here) but heard it alot.
Spits wil be better off moving forward if pushed rd 1.
I'm not one who hopes for the easy road or blames luck/ non luck. Line em up and see what ya got.
I think Windsor should be just fine, if not they would not have been a serious contender regardless.
Edit.....having multi drafted players on a middle to poor can actually hurt a team's PO chances IF kids are looking forward and font wanna pay a price gor their current clubs knowing they are moving on n up as soon as this year exit from the OHL. Just an example and no inside info but is Mesat committed to paying a price for the Rangets needed knowing no matter what he moves on next year? Wright also (again not questioning these players just examples) seen it alot with drafted players. Some got it some don't as far as the GAF meter when they know there is more in future.
