Someone needs to be held accountable. No problem with Bowler, he brought in guys like Maillet and Christo for nothing. Drafted Cristoforo, Greentree. The coaching sucks. This team has been giving up 10 2 on 1's per game since game 1 and no changes.
We can talk about his poor picks as well. This is the same coaching staff as last year that got to 15 wins in the playoffs. We can talk about Cristaforo and Greentree but you can't rely on 16 year olds to do the producing in the playoffs.

I didn't see the hit so won't comment.
As an unbiased fan who likes 1 player on each team and doesn't care about any of the rest of them (lol), it looked pretty dirty to me. Sure looks like Pinelli sees him and decides to "accidentally" try to take his head off hoping it would look like an accident and he'd get away with that. Brutal hit right to his chin and looked to have him borderline knocked out trying to get off the ice

The Peer one I saw and it should be a few games (completely unnecessary). It was a hit later by a Spitfire that I didn't. I'm drawing a blank as to who it was but they showed the replay on TV and I wasn't looking up at the time.

It was DeAngelis on Sop with 3:40 left in the second period. Definitely should have been something.

Pinelli hit wasn't good. Sop came out lucky. Peer did not.

THAT'S who it was. I kept thinking D'A but didn't want to trust my brain right now. I do remember (at the time) thinking "I need a replay on that."

Heres the quote. The team is soft! Thats it end of story.
Heads roll? Be very tough. Between relatives and a GM that has his fingers in all the families hockey operations it’ll be very hard to move those people. One of my beefs with the savages as owners!!

i can’t wait for someone to explain why Kitchener is pretty much dominating this series since defence doesn’t win you anything and it all about offence.
With no offense, defense is irrelevant. Game 2 showed that. Lol

I often agree with your posts or at least your POV, but I think saying they aren't your usual 8 seed is a weak excuse.

Windsor isn't some run of the mill 4-5-6 seed. They're the reigning conference champs who were the best team in the conference this regular season. For long stretches it wasn't close either.

Kitchener didn't magically fix what made them the 8 seed overnight. They had fundamental issues for 68 games. Those don't disappear because oh sh*t it's playoff season we better try.

They're weak at net front coverage. Their D struggles against a heavy, aggressive forecheck. A majority of their Fs are skillful danglers. Their special teams were average at best (both ranked out of top-10).

From what I've seen, Windsor looks unprepared for what KIT has offered & frankly have not looked like a team willing to EARN it. Get out front. Take 3-4 cross checks. Eat a slash on the ankle, go win a board battle, fight for those loose pucks off face-offs, etc.

At the very least somebody try & bother Constantini. Slash him. Get in his face. Sarnia has had 0 issues scoring vs GUE & they are still chirping, slashing, getting in Leaver's face. GUE has started doing it to Gaudreau & it has bothered him. WSR is not done yet, but it's been a shocking display so far & one that can't be chalked up to well they got a bad draw. No other high seed is losing. Can't tell me KIT is the only solid low seed.
Agreed 1000%. Who cares if you get chirped or take 2 minutes if it changes the game.

Sobolev crushes a guy first shift. How’s Kitchener respond? A dirty hit, 5 minute major, and them losing their top scorer for the entire game, (potentially) and then some. Windsor dominates the first, somehow winds up down 1-0. Second period, all checking goes away. If you hit Martin rather than swinging a stick at him, that third goal doesn’t happen.

We’ve got a talented group that’s afraid to get their hands dirty. Not that Abraham and Spellacy would’ve made THE difference, but someone willing to mix things up, make some hits and pester Kitchener could have changed the game and the series.

Can we doom and gloom now? We haven’t had the lead in 9 periods. We just went 100 minutes without a goal against the 8th seed. While this team is very streaky both ways… winning a Game 4 in Kitchener seems like an uphill battle in its own right.

Windsor, On
Well down to the last game for The Spits 3 overagers.
Maggio has been a well spoken, hard working, league scoring champion, Captain ...I wish him continued success, hopefully in the NHL.
Renwick was a very nice addition, that gave 2 good years to The Spits...college hockey will suit him well.
Onuska played well enough to win a few playoff series , last year.....good luck in future endeavours.

It must be very disappointing to finish their Junior careers this way!

I fully expect Kitchener to win this series. No Hall in the wings at this time and I'm not even sure he could make a comeback here without the supporting cast he had. Windsor has no answer for their forecheck or tenacity . Lots of time after this series is over to rehash the " what ifs".

Well we need a 2010 down 3-0 miracle against Kitchener again. Just don't see this coaching staff doing that with this group. Can lightning strike twice? It can but it is rare. As for our goalies not the real problem. We can't expect a first star performance needed just to win a game. Built for cozy beer league non-contact hockey and we'd be fine.
All we need is Hall, Ellis, Henrique, Nemicsz, Wellwood, Kassian, Grubaer, Young, etc.

In fairness you have all been speaking about what is the "chink" in the Spits armour for quite sometime. Take away the goal scoring and you're left with a questionable defense and very questionable goaltending. Come playoffs it can be exposed ...... Ask the Leafs how this recipe has worked out for them in the playoffs? I am surprised for sure that it's Kitchener that exposed it however, they struggled all season long to get there **it together? Have to tip your hat to them at this point. :thumbu: of course it's not over BUT it's rare to say the least to win 4 straight.

Notice there have been no postgame comments from the coaches or players? Usually, there is an article from Parker or interviews on the website. Have they all gone into hiding already? Maillet, Wright, Maggio are a combined -19. Just embarrassing. This isn't the 2010 team, no 3-0 comeback, it will be considered a miracle if they can even get the lead. Even the #8 Oshawa Generals who are in a complete rebiold have won a game. Spitfires have led 0 minutes in this series. Yes, I am still rattled, all that time and money spent for 4 embarrassing games and a rebuild coming up.

I also noticed all Kitchener fans think Pinelli should have only gotten two minutes. Even had one say it was interference on Peer lmao! Pinelli has been suspended how many times, he's the dirtiest player in the league.

Savard was interviewed by Josh Brown (KIT reporter) only 2 quotes but here they are:

“I feel for our guys because they worked tonight,” said Savard. “We’re not getting breaks around the net. We’re there, we’re fighting and if we keep playing like we did tonight we’ll get some success.
“We just have to win a game and try and get it back home. We’ve been a good home team all year.”

“He never sees him coming and Peer still doesn’t know where he is,” he said. “Pinelli leans in and catches him in the head, so Peer has no idea it’s coming. It’s a tough situation when we lose a great player like that and we’ll let the league deal with it.”

After letting the dust settle from last night's nightmare. Thought I'd chime in on my opinion. No excuses really can be made for being down 3-0 other then this was right in front of us all season. I've said it till I'm blue in the face and some others have as well. This is not a team built for the playoffs period, too soft and one dimensional gameplan!! Our teams GM came out and said we are going to take a run at the Championship just to not do his job properly and not assess this team to find its weaknesses. I mean its mind bottling. We needed a more reliable goalie and better defensive players so that we were more structured and well balanced, we had the chips to make the right moves but went a different route. This team was scoring goals all season there was no reason you didnt fill our teams weaknesses and needs if we were really "going for it". Thanks for building us like the Leafs, this year is different for them but the past 4 or 5 seasons before, we are the OHL version of that this season. Havent cared all season how many goals we scored, whoopty Doo. Letting in 4 goals a night is a joke of a hockey system. Savard and his pond hockey style has never been favored by me as I've said before, no consistant line combinations all season or last, just flip flop all game every period. Sometimes you have to let these players work out there issues and adapt, get better together. That is what the regular season is for preparing for the real season we have been playing pond hockey all regular season. This is the OHL Marc.

Congratulations to Kitchener and there fans. I knew we had our hands full but didnt think we would lose this series and if we did lose would have never though like this. Unless Something really changes in our teams locker room I dont see any light in a comeback.

Anyways Thanks for the final Spit in the Face to end our season there Bowler, Savard and crew. I dont put this on our players it's on the people running it. There supposed to be the professionals in charge but far from it. Busch league, Build a hockey team and have a ligit hockey system in place if you want to have success.

Rant Over!!
