Yes, Costanzo is young. I am going with my vet in game 3. He's come up big in this position before. No doubt the young goalie is going to have a great OHL career ahead of him, but it's too much pressure on him right now.
Pretty sure it isn’t a pressure thing.

Have the Spits even have many top notch scoring chances this series?

Who gives a flying F about his playoff stats last playoffs lol Onuska isnt good period, wasn't last season and still isnt this season. Sum it up however you want too haha, statistics dont lie. He got carried by Wyatt and crew last playoffs period!! Medina had just as good of stats no? check it out if I'm wrong. This team is different this season and not as well rounded as last season. This year is the same team in front of Both goalies and Costanzo has been far superior this year while 3 years younger.
You are correct. Medina numbers better than Onuska last year's playoffs.

Coaches got to take some blame here also not having these guys ready for this series.
How often does an 8 seed buy at the deadline?

Not Windsor’s fault they got one of the better 8 seeds in recent memory.

Kitchener is finally showing what the team *on paper* should be Able to. Sucks it‘s happening to us.

Sure it is Windsors fault. All the talk on how deep this team is and they can’t generate any scoring chances? All the give aways. Odd man rushes they give up when on the PP. We all know they aren’t really an 8 seed but to be a 1 seed and not being in either game is laughable. Windsor is playing like they are an 8th seed.

It's a tough spot to be in for you guys. We in Kitchener were obviosuly hoping for a better season with the team we had and after MM kept buying players throughout the season. It seems as though they are finally hitting their stride at the right time.

Still lots of work to do in this series, as a Rangers fan the hope and excitement is starting to build.

Spits are in need of the heimlich maneuver! Played the first two games like they were exhibition games. No urgency whatsoever. Just a pathetic display of hockey. Pissing what was a very good season down the toilet. Extremely disappointing.

Yes, absolutely Kitchener has a game plan an is executing it to perfection. I can't believe the lack of playoff hockey effort from the Spits. We can talk goalies, defense yes, but when your PP is 0 for 10 with 3 shorthanded goals against and add in being shutout??? . JC could have made 50 saves, doesn't matter when you do not score, you loose. There is something off, not taking away from the Rangers success but the lack of quality scoring chances is unbelievable. The junior B call-ups did their job. All 3 are zero for 2 games. Maggio -6, Harrison, Holmes, Maillet all -4. Cristoforo actually a plus ➕️ 1, the only Spit in the positive. He'll of a effort for a rookie D when your team is being schooled. Something is disconnected between the coaches and players and or players with other players . Looks toxic for some reason imo.

If they lose this series, which they likely will. Savard needs to go. You can't be a #1 seed going to get swept by an #8 seed and keep your job.

Kitchener is possibly the best #8 seed in history. They played another perfect game, and I mean perfect. Zero giveaways, bad passes, and cashed in on every single breakaway. How did this team finish #8th? THey look like better than Hamilton did against us last year.

Anyways, 5 on 5 the Spitfires obviously couldn't get anything going, but defensively Kitchener only scored 1 goal 5 on 5. It's the brutal giveaways on the PP that are costing them. Savard made zero changes to the breakout or anything. Just pathetic coaching.

Harrison is a total invisible joke out there, he is just waiting to go play in the AHL. I said during the season he goes invisible for strings of games, I didn't realize he was playing until he put the breakaway off the crossbar. Maggio is working hard, but generated zero scoring chances.

One thing we learned, Dionico might be the most important player on this team. At least he's back for game 3. If you can win game 3 you're right back in it, but it seems unlikely. How many shorthanded goals are they going to allow in game 3? The crowd booed the team in the last 5 minutes of the game. I have never see the Spitfires booed off the ice for 5 minutes before.

Fire Savard.

Savard has issues yes.
Defence coach has been a lot worst.

Btw , Savard has already named Onuska the game 3 starter. Costanzo hasn't been great, but 5 of Kitchener's 9 goals have been on 2 on 1 s and breakaways. Yep, we're getting swept, not even getting a game 5.
Not Joey fault at all.
When the call ups r your best players so far. Big issues.

You can give credit to Kitchener but the best 8 seed in history? They're still an 8th seed.

Has there ever been an 8 seed with 6 drafted players and two more that are going to be drafted in the 1st round of this year's draft? That's 8 players.

Serious question, not sure there ever has been. Compare Kitchener's roster to Owen Sound's, it's not even close. Spits were better off losing the last two games against the Knights to dip to 2nd. Wouldn't be surprised if Kitchener goes all the way to the finals.

Do you get a 1st round bye for having NHL drafted players or something? Kitchener? The Finals? Are we wagering real $ here because I’m ready to ante up then. Kitchener is an 8 seed. Oh wait. Hold up just a sec…
Yup. Just checked the OHL website again. They’re still listed as an 8 seed. I powered off my device and restarted it again and everything. Still finished in 8th. Now, to be serious though….two things. One. Does anyone still wanna tell me how great Shane Wright is and how he’s soooo great defensively and a leader? Because I’m still not impressed. Two. Dionicio comes back next game. It seems he’s a bit more important than anyone could have imagined pre-deadline and there’s still AT LEAST two more games to play. I wouldn’t rule the Spits out yet but man….if Savard actually starts Onuska next game I’d be a little concerned.

Wright has been their best player. He's being asked to do too much. He's leading the rush, getting pucks in nobody is helping him. Wright is one of the last ones to blame. Maggio wasn't good in the playoffs last year and followed it up with another no show.

Yeah if you can't admit Kitchener is pretty darn good for an 8 seed, then I don't know what to tell you. Let me ask if this, would you rather your team play Kitchener or Owen Sound in a playoff series? Wright is averaging 1.85 PPG, not even close to being the issue.

He already named him the starter, so yeah, it's over in 4.
