It can feel any way it wants to you. It doesn't change the fact Rychel is the one that hired Letowski so in the end Rychel has to accept some responsibility for any problems with the coach.

Rychel has accepted some responsibility, but you can't deny that if a team is hitting/defending under Rocky, then suddenly stops with TL, it's "Rychel drafted those players!" There's a vastly different change in how the teams plays and that's not on WR.

The roster Letowski has compared to Rocky is almost a complete turnover. Every coach has a different philosophy or vision and how he wants to achieve that. The team in 2017 might be completely different than the one in 2019. The funny thing is that Rychel saw Letowski coach in Sarnia as well and probably has a very good idea of he's all about. Are you surprised that Letowski would have a different philosophy than Thompson?

I don't know details, but sounds like something is going down around noon on Tues...

Is this in relation to Rychel or Johnston? The article in The Star did say he could sign as early as Tuesday which is tomorrow.

I don't know; the article was posted and someone made the comment regarding news coming tomorrow. At the time, my intial reaction was "Johnston is signing", but I don't know for sure.

Not at all, but this is my point. It's not WR, it's the coaching. Strangely, TL's teams in Sarnia had a few willing guys (who had the green light) more often than not.

So its all about fighting??

It won't change much until ownership has few fans and is not making money. Then they will be forced to make the necessary changes to attract fans....a strong winning team brings the people in Windsor.

I have to disagree........Good Hockey attracts fans, and we havent seen it in a number of years.Even that 2017 team with all its stars played mediocre hockey through the regular season imo.And fans were starting to stay away then too.

As for TL his Sarnia teams are a totally diff animal then the hockey he preaches now.Why the change?? If he wants to make it to the big dance and you look at the nhl playoffs we just had.It was rough and tumble in most series.TL's style wont cut it.

We will have to wait for the 2023 draft to get back to it.

TL is still here only because savage refuses to eat the buyout!! This is the biggest reason I’m not renewing. He isn’t the right coach here. Windsor supports hard hitting, harder working in your face hockey. What he’s coaching is sissyfied crap. Another reason our players aren’t progressing or getting drafted. Some info coming soon. Lots of irons in the fire. Hearing the GM position issue is slowing some action.

The Windsor #Spitfires announce the signing of 1st rd pick (6th overall) Wyatt Johnston. 16 year old scored 48 goals and 94 points in 73 games with the Toronto Marlboros last season. #OHL @AM800News @CTVWindsor
A bit of a surprise nothing on Spits web site. It hits the newspaper first. Used to be a presser for 1sts.

Wyatt Johnston is officially signed, sealed, and delivered - Spitfires signed him today.

Decent signing .
However how much will he "actually" play with this coaching staff.
They love playing guys like boka over younger more offensive players.
Dumb coaching!

So what you have stated, fans never attended games even when they were winning (2017?)

Well Bob's your Uncle! the Spits finally got around to putting the signing on their website. Nice pic of Johnston between Rychel and Bowler. Pictures worth a thousand words...

Geez 7 can u post ANYTHING remotely positive?!?! Not sure why you continue to participate. Your comments sound like a record skipping!!! Good that he’s signed!! There’s gonna be some talent here. Truly hope the staff can find a way to coach them!!

its actually been pretty steady on a per game basis floating around the 4,900 mark until 17/18 when it dipped to 4,700 and then last year at 4,100. That is still firmly in the top 5 in the OHL according to HockeyDB.

NHL teams usually shake up their scouting staffs (and make new hires) after the draft each year. NHL draft is this weekend of course.

You could make the case 2017 was the sweetner year. Fans wanted in for the opportunity of getting Memorial Cup tickets. Moving forward there really isn't a large motivation to make that type of investment with the team. We have seen the drop since the 2017 hosting year. You could make the case there's another drop coming up this year as well.
