Probably speaks more to the lack of depth scoring that they lose when the top guys don't score.
Yup Leafs core 4 essentially determines if Leafs WIN or LOSE, because of lack of depth because of top heavy scoring at cap heavy consumption.

Nylander has a team leading 12 goals himself. Leafs bottom 18 players so called "depth" have scored 12 goals total after 18 games.

Where would the Leafs be without Nylander this year where he is scoring at the rate of 18 of his teammates combined?

2 points, good enough, I’d take 2 points a game all season long. It would be more than an ok season,
He got the points he’s smart and talented but he can be much better and he needs to be if we think we’re going anywhere

Hakan Loob only Swede to ever score 50goals. So yeah it would be amazing for more then one reason. But i would not bet on it universe wants us Swedes to stay humble.

I thought for sure Kent "the magic man" Nilsson had 50, but I see his best was 49.

There are only 13 of these 18 with more than a game or two.

Reinhart also has 12 goals, and that is only 1 fewer than the bottom 13 of Florida (all who have played 5 or more) combined.

The bottom 13 on Edmonton (12 have more than 2 games) have a combined 7 goals to Draisaitl's 12.

The bottom 17 on Colorado (16 have more than 2 games) have a combined 10 goals to Rantanen's 12.

The bottom 17 on Montreal (16 have more than 2 games) have a combined 11 goals to Caufield's 12.

Those are all the other teams with a player with 12 goals. Eliminating players with only 1or 2 games, we don't look any worse, and clearly better than Colorado and Montreal.

Him and AM have been our best players since the start of last season. His ability to play in the playoffs is a breathe of fresh air
