Obviously the league deems playmaking at a premium that is why they award a point even for a secondary assist.
I guess no one should complain if they underperform in the regular season then.yes that begets the question is regular season success or do you dream of something more?

Beauty goal last night.
Probably detest is a little strong. Every team in the league does it pretty much every PP so it would be interesting to break away from the norm thoughIt was hilarious!
Everyone on the ice was waiting for the drop back pass.
I think even his mates were wondering when he was going to pass it back to Woll to restart the attack.
Wonder if some of the players detest that "set play" attack on every powerplay?
50 goals would be an amazing achievement and it’s very possible if the power play continues to succeed like it has the past few games.
What's the bar for someone making 11mil 5 years ago?50g and 100pts should be the bar for a one-way guy making 11.5 to clear regularly.
Hope he can get there.
Clearly lolWhat's the bar for someone making 11mil 5 years ago?
30 goals 90 points I guess.
1 way guy who has better stats that most the pk guys but I guess that was cause of everyone else on the ice right?50g and 100pts should be the bar for a one-way guy making 11.5 to clear regularly.
Hope he can get there.
Willy's goal last night is another example - two players got assists, but were they 'earned'? Well, they gave him the puck and stayed out of his way. Can’t say I agree with this logic at all.
A good example was Tavares PP goal on Friday I believe. Marner lost control of the puck that deflected off a Detroit player and went right to Tavares, who spun and scored. He gets an assist, which is ok I guess, although in general i dislike these points, but Reilly also got an assist, and hadn’t touched the puck in like 5 seconds.
That’s why strictly looking at raw points is a dangerous way of evaluating player performance. I get it happens in every game to every team, but it can certainly artificially inflate point totals
lol, you are funny.Obviously the league deems playmaking at a premium that is why they award a point even for a secondary assist.
You dont pay for assists in a forward. You pay for goals.
I pay for playoff points and series wins you know? That’s why players that suck at playing hockey but can score goals like Laine make the big bucks.
It’s this stupid mentality that people have that I highly suspect they aren’t capable of playing hockey and other sports.
He has been getting 40 goals the past two seasons, unless injured, he should get 40 goals for the next few years.Good start to season.
It can go cold, look at Matthews shooting right now.
But probably another 40 goal season?
Eventually it evens out.Willy's goal last night is another example - two players got assists, but were they 'earned'? Well, they gave him the puck and stayed out of his way.
At the same time there are goals where the player who does all the work doesn't get an assist.
I figure they pretty much average out over a season or more, but it shows how ridiculous it is to point at one play and extrapolate it and pretend it's relevant.
Hakan Loob only Swede to ever score 50goals. So yeah it would be amazing for more then one reason. But i would not bet on it universe wants us Swedes to stay humble.50 goals would be an amazing achievement and it’s very possible if the power play continues to succeed like it has the past few games.
Goal scoring is a different beast.Eventually it evens out.
In general, I do think the shooter will contribute more than 70% in scoring a goal than the two passers. Like Ovie and Stammer gets their PP goal at their spot but if you put other right shot players in the league there, would they still get as many goals as them at the same spot with the same opportunities? I would say no.
