It would be a massive gamble for the leafs. Don't think they consider it without a significant add.

For once a proposal that's pretty gross for Leafs actually. If Lafreniere wasn't a first over all pick he'd probably be in the AHL. Georgiev can't stop a beach ball this year and well Nylander is almost PPG player this year. Not even close to fair value.

Toronto gets hosed here. Toronto needs Nylander for their 4 play off games coming up. He has been the best Leaf in the playoffs the last few seasons.

I was thinking Laf + picks for Willy earlier today.

Clears up $6M and own picks for d/goalie trade. LW is our weakest F position too.

Laf is improving, I don't wanna trade him at all right now unless something really special comes back. When he plays a little higher in the lineup you can see the talent right away but when he doesn't get the ice-time and gets stuck in the bottom 6 he becomes invisible pretty fast...

Lafreniere is fine. He just needs the Rangers to use him a little better.
Use him better? They’ve been force feeding him a top line spot for weeks now. Could use more PP time I suppose but you can’t really justify him on PP1 with the options NY has right now.

Then why not play him higher up if he's going to produce really well. The way he's playing currently not team is giving up a 25 year old ppg winger for him.

Man I feel bad for Dubas right now, stand pat, go out 1st round=fired
spend the crazy prices and don't win a cup=fired

How exactly? He's getting top line minutes. And is a clear weak link for the line.

It's not NYR's role to give him the minutes he deserves. He's supposed to earn them with his own play. Currently he should deserve to be nowhere near top line. It's ridiculous to say Rangers need to use him better.

Try vs give up. While Dubas waits around for the perfect moment, his core players will become UFAs.

Hes had 4 years and inherited a really solid young team from lou. He deserves to be fired, he should have been canned last offseason.

He needs to be on the first PP unit. The Rangers barely use their second unit and it sucks. It regularly features Barclay Goodrow and Dryden Hunt.

Lafreniere is a significantly better option than Strome. Strome is a good 5v5 player but he sucks f***ing wind on the powerplay.

The Rangers have the #2 powerplay in the league and their top unit has a combined 115 points.

Ryan Strome has 11.

It's hard to be that bad.

They should and he has been getting some time there lately...
His PP minutes are a joke too, that second unit barely plays and the players on that unit aren't exactly very good...

A 20 year old player that leads a playoff team in even strength goals since he was acquired sucks?

This seems more like a Rangers issue than a Laf praise. Also feel like this stat is wrong tbh, just too lazy to look this up right now.

As for Nylander for these two no way

115 GP 40 Points. Don’t think because someone was taking first overall they can’t bust. Think Patrick Stefan and Alexander Daigle. If you are not even a tad concern you’re living in denial.
Daigle wasn’t a bust, just a big disappointment. At this point, NYR would honestly be lucky if Laf ever scored as much as Daigle did.
