Proposal: William Nylander for Alexis Lafrenière & Alex Georgiev

Laf is about to be the lowest paid first overall pick of all time when he signs his extension. NYR fans, humble yourselves... Kakko is garbage too. Is he the worst 2nd OA pick recently?

Honestly, he's not even half the player Yakupov was in his first 2 seasons. And Yak is considered a huge bust? LOL

LOL remember when Leaf fans were saying Liljegren was an elite blue chip and pushed back hard to anyone who called him a bust. Now he is loved. Only took him 5 years to become an NHL'r.

But Kakko and Laf only get 2 years and they are busts...seriously? People need to stop stat watching because that is the only thing most people use as a metric.

Trying to get kids learn to play a 200ft game whilst adapting to the best league in the world as well as trying to play their own game is not easy and will take years to learn. They deserve the time and should be given at 3-5 years to develop before the bust tag is branded about.

based on lack of physical play, hold out, inability to produce more offense. 7 successful playoff games is not enough. Does he kill penalties? Is he good defensively?

lilly was sick for a few year and injuried too... He had Mono bad and it hurt his development. Please D take longer to develop.

But I dont think Kakko is shit because of a few years, he could turn it around.

No it means that usually they are more developed and better at this stage in their career. They can both improve and reach their ceiling but the more time goes by the less likely it is to happen.
