Remember when it was the bad man Babcock picking on him? Perhaps that’s instructive but who knows.
Keefe will never snap on Tavares or Matthews even if they deserved it.

My point is two coaches see the same thing. Coaches can see the cheating, I can as well. Waiting for someone else to win a puck, trying but not hunting, waiting to blow the zone, listless coversge. That’s why coaches react, JT deserves big timescorn but the effort hasn’t waned one iota.Keefe will never snap on Tavares or Matthews even if they deserved it.
I don’t disagree, the whole line stinks.Nylander’s a frustrating player because he’s elite and one of the best when he wants to be, so I get it. But he’s not the only problem on this team and it’s getting a bit old that this is Keefe’s scapegoat it seems.

Regardless a near ppg winger at a 6.9 million contract is not the problem. It’s fine to call people out for being dumb , but it’s kind of ironic you use an entirely idiotic argument to do so.
Actually the guy in your avatar did by getting caught on a stupid pinch with a couple minutes left.Nylander lack of effort cost us the game. Send to the 3rd line and bench in the last few games. I would healthy scratch him to see if that lights a fire under him. Needs to watch Blackwell to see what a hard working player looks like. He will be on that line soon anyways.
Just as long as it's not an 18-wheelerWhen the 2nd line was doing well, Kerfoot was the gas, Nylander was the motor and Tavares was the guy behind the wheel. Now unfortunately the gas seems pretty stale, the motor is in need of a tune-up badly, and the guy behind the wheel has either fallen asleep or is intoxicated.
Solution may be to blow up that vehicle and build a new one
The avatar is very similar to the forward in discussion.Regardless a near ppg winger at a 6.9 million contract is not the problem.

I actually thought we were over this pattern, and it’s kind of why I first hesitated highlighting when I started seeing it again. Anyways, he can turn it on and we will all be singing the praises…Nylander has always gone through long stretches where he plays just like this and it can be very frustrating when you know he's capable of so much more. If it was just 1 or 2 games here and there it wouldn't be a big deal but he does this for nearly month periods at a time, sometimes more with a few really good efforts sprinkled in.

That is what makes me think something is going on that we are not privy to.
I think, as they say that " the die has been cast!" His Dad(the Swedish Gretzky) was the same guy, crazy elite talent, solid work ethic in the gym, less than the ideal drive and will to succeed on the ice.I actually thought we were over this pattern, and it’s kind of why I first hesitated highlighting when I started seeing it again. He went from carrying the team to whatever this is overnight at exactly the time he and Tavares got covid.

So COVID left him disinterested on many nights and took away JT's hands, feet and part of his brain ??
You might be on to something, the body language has been interesting. That is what makes me think something is going on that we are not privy to.
Taveras flubs is Williams problem,Nylander lackadaisical = Kerfoots problem
Nylander lazy forecheck = Tavares sucks
Nylander criticized openly by coach = He won't say it about 34/16 picks on Nylander
Is this how it works?
