I'm just speaking the truth. Some ppl will always be homers and think positive so they can't see it (not you).
Plus I did say atleast hamels is pitching tomorrow *shrugs*
The other people aren't "homers" or constantly positive. They're being realistic. I also love how the default defence to this sort of stuff is "I'm just speaking truth."
If that's the case, where's your
proof that this is becuase the Jays don't care to "piss away" the division lead. Not your supposition. Not your assumption. Not any "well, what else would it be?" type crap. Proof. Irrefutable and incontrovertible.
You don't have it. You're just giving opinion. It's not "truth" any more than it would be if I were to state that the Jays thought dressing the lesser players would give them a better shot at winning these games because they figure those players are hungry to show they deserve jobs next year while all the playoff-bound vets didn't care about winning these games because they'd already punched their ticket to the post-season.
Just because you're looking for the dark cloud in every silver lining doesn't make you some prophet of truth against the vast tide of homeristic positivity police. It makes you a pessimist looking for something to complain about while everyone else takes a much more measured approach to analyzing the situation.
They didn't piss away these games. The regulars should never have played that rainy trainwreck of a game the day after because of the risk of getting hurt, nor would most of them have played the 2nd game of the doubleheader anyway.
So what have they done to piss things away since then? Osuna had a blown save tonight. these things happen. And they won yesterday. Big.
But herp derp derp, they're blowing it on purpose because they're lazy or they don't want to win, or they've stopped caring, or some such nonsense. Everything's awful. They'll probably choke away the playoffs in the 1st round anyway.
Come on.
