I see Mitch with Mathews real soon as Nylander and Mathews is not really working that well and Nylander could be an ideal winger with JVR and Bozak.

I agree that both Bozak and JVR stays but I can see us resigning JVR or moving him with Bozak walking away for free.

Matthews and Nylander look like they work pretty good together to me, dunno what your seeing.

I was referring to Marleau with Marner next year. If Nylander moved to the Bozak line they'd have 3 guys not playing defense.
Looks to me like Nylander is getting worse effort wise. Against St Louis we lost count of how many times he turned the wrong way or shied away from contact.

He's an offensive splayer at 6'0 and 180. Why would you want him absorbing contact? Say he gets injured and doesn't recover. Then what?

You can still engage without absorbing contact. Watch Marner tonight, he is excellent at it.

Avoiding contact is fine, even smart. Making wrong decisions in order to avoid contact is a problem.

Though I wouldn't really say that Nylander has done that.
A few times he did against St Louis.

This is a bad take.

He’s nowhere near AHL level of play. If anything he’s been picking up his game the last few weeks. The scoring will come
I am talking about sending him down to get his offensive game back, and bringing him back up, you understand what i am saying, right? He is back to being invisible on a pretty sheltered line, lately.

I understand what you’re saying, but don’t think it’s necessary.

You don’t send a guy whose 5th in the team in points down to the minors. He’s an NHLer.

Marner is not an scoring or play making threat, is assists are easily replaced on the Bozak line and on the PP.

Marner is not an offensive threat?

Come on dude.....

He had a 5 game stretch when he was offensive threat but now he has gone back to early season Mitch... im sure that breaks a lot of hearts but its the truth.

Anyone on JVR/Bozaks wing is going to get points ...im sure that breaks a lot of hearts but its the truth.

Marner is an elite offensive threat and would go in the top 5 in a redraft. Im sure that break someone's heart but its true.
He also creates scoring chances and is one of our best players overall. Im sure that will break someone's heart but is true

He's not every shift.....almost every shift he is.
Marner is showing every game he can create chances(he is close to McDavid level in terms of that) and could challange Eichel for 2nd best player in the draft

Easily, tons of chances every night. Wait until he gets suitable linemates, 100 points is not out of the question.

He just resorts to making up false facts when he gets proven wrong. Just like how Lilly was the 5th d man on the team and is 5 years away from being a top 4 d man in the NHL.

Yup Marner is just learning as well as he goes but he is still an elite offensive threat that carries the Bozak line.

He’s literlaly 5th on the team in points and on pace for 55......

I have zero idea how your drawing your conclusions here

I watch the games ... he has 3 goals and 17 assists at even strength in 46 games on a heavily sheltered offensively deployed line.

(8 even strength primary assists in 46 games)

I am not picking on Mitch, but you engaged my opinion and added stats into this.

I watch the games as well...

Those stats still don’t support your assertion that he’s performing like an AHLer....

Bud, I said maybe he should go down to the AHL for 5 or so games to help get his scoring, etc back, pay attention and/or stop trying to twist my words.

It is possible to watch games and not understand what it is you're seeing. Many here are afflicted with this.
Marner is fine as is and will only get considerably better.

Yes and you say Marner is the 2nd best player from the 2015 draft, you seem to afflicted with foot in mouth disease.
