I mean the pro Toronto media was a bit much too...it was childish on both sides.

It was alot of "please like our cityyyy"

I don't think we need to use the word narrative here...I think it just a fact NBA players on the whole do not want to play in Canada...if Leonard stays he will be the rare exception.

"please like our cityyy"

You just spun that. Sounds like an undermining narrative to me. Why can't Toronto embrace one of it's most important athletes in decades?

But that's like saying you'll resent your girlfriend if she breaks up with you while you're still going out. Wait and see what the reaction is IF he leaves.

I thought he would leave as a FA the minute the Raps acquired him. I evem thought he would pout. He delivered a championship. There is nothing more I can ask for. If he leaves, he leaves. Masi will rebuild around Pascal and OG.

He brought the team its first title ever. Literally did what no player did before him, and even managed to do in one season.

Did you see CLE fans flip out when LeBron left last year? Nope.

Fans want to keep their star players around, but them leaving is waaaaaay easier when they have something to show for it.

I don't think I said they will hate Leonard if he leaves.

The Raptors will quickly fall back to being irrelevant though

To win a championship... which they did. I love DeRo, but the Taps weren't winning with him.

Same goes for Lowry if he was shipped out for Leonard while DeRozan stayed.

If the Raptors had stayed status quo with both they wouldn't have gotten past Milwaukee or likely even Philadelphia.

Imagine thinking an NBA superstar actually wants to live in Canada

they're mostly too soft to live in harsher weather conditions come the winter. Southerners dont do well in the North.

Aside from NYC or Chicago, I dont see how any other city in america could possibly be better.

Til: people are soft for choosing to not live in Canada. Good to know.
