While his fancy stats are very strong, his actual numbers and per 60 rates put him in the top 30-45 ish over the past two years for dmen with min 2000 minutes.. there are about 85 dmen with this usage

He is solid enough for job expected.. he is just boring
He is below average as per your stats with a team which is way above average. He does nothing to increase our chances of winning. If hec2as on a bad team imagine how bad his stats would be. You can justify anything with stats,

I think part of that is that giveaway stats are the most undercounted in the league. Which is his real downfall. He's relatively ok in most other areas

He is what he is.. i am sure we could do worse in a 6 hole.. hopefully he is played there

The time for a Kerfoot trade was before free agency began.

The only way he likely goes is if it's as salary going the other way in a bigger trade,.which I'd peg at a lower probability of happening

Fact is, despite all the people who wanted Kerfoot gone, he's still a useful forward and it was pretty obvious that the Leafs weren't just going to give him away. Holl, on the other hand... The only reason I can think of for them not moving Holl is because they don't want the 6th D-man to end up being Jamie Benn, who really should be a #7...
He is a give away machine in the playoffs .
Love to see him traded at the deadline and trade for a winger with some snarl.

If muzzin is going on ltir I would think he would be done playing hockey ?

It is cause he is boring and boring doesnt adhere you to fans but to your coaches

Im not his biggest fan either but he does what he does and is solid enough to warrant the job

I do like boring though.. i dont like klingberg (high event)

I don't see anything about him as boring. He has me on the edge of my seat all the time. Unfortunately it's not in a good way.

Exactly. He elevates my blood pressure every time he’s on the ice. I will have a party the day he is gone from the Leafs organization.

I disagree, he had yet to be paid his bonus and teams are always looking to save real dollars. Kerfoot at 3.5mil in real $ vs him @ $750,000, I feel teams would rather trade for the bonus paid option especially budget teams.

Holl is simply the fanbase whipping boy. Not that he can't be improved upon... but, he led the Leafs in Hits last year, second in blocks by 2, third on the team in Defensive Point Share, played PK decently well, 23 points, for $2 million bucks. What exactly do you expect for $2 mil?

Sure, he's the target to move, as we'd like Sandin to get into the lineup more, handedness aside.... That's the problem.. RD is a bit of a premium position, and we have two legitimate Right Handed guys, and Holl is one of them. Remove him, and we might be pushing someone to play on their offside, that they aren't particularly suited for... some guys can do it though.

The question on Kerfoot, is does moving him improve the team, and how do you replace what he brings, at a lower cap hit? There aren't many options out there at the moment.
I agree in principle, but personally, I would much rather have Stastny and Kessel instead of Kerfoot for a similar combined cap hit.

There were/are bargains to be had in free agency that we can't take advantage of at this point in time.

I don't think Kessel would have ever come back but would be good with stasny and millano as well

Strangely enough Phil da thrill loves TO and still lives here in The Kingsway .. I heard that he has even skated with da TO boys at Ford a bit .. but you are right he likely hates Shanny after he decided to unload him .. Phil da thrill was da 5th wheel who you get after 2C 1D and 1G like in Pittsburgh .. dumb dumb Burke thought he could be a core pieces and OMG that trade might be worst of CBA era

Legitimately shocked their both still here, hoping they get dumped somewhere, but I'm not holding my breath anymore.

More so to give the team time to find a replacement among the free agents still available as soon as the period began.

While I do agree Kerfoot is now a more appealing trade chip especially to a budget team, it now only makes sense for the Leafs of there's a LW coming back to replace him
