Twelve votes in the poll so far and ten are for the Wild losing the series. I bet the other two are Jets fans. Elite level negativity.

When you don't expect much, it's hard to be disappointed. :)

4+ pages of Wild fans trying to convince themselves that they're not going to care what happens, and Jets fans trying to convince themselves that their team won't choke. Byfuglien has about 4 more days of being liked and respected in the state of Minnesota.

Well obviously I'm not going to wish you guys luck, unless you beat us, then I'll wish you well in the next round! :D Never had a problem with the Wild as a team or their fans. Hope it's a great series with no injuries!
Well the Wild are already of to a poor start then when it comes to injuries.

I think most people will still be upset with a loss. It's hard not to be. But there are so few people who actually expect them to win more than a game or two.

I voted Wild in 7.

I feel like "tale of the tape" should include a bit deeper analysis. PP% and PK% are basically the same stat in this context.

So what I'm saying is hockey coverage in Canada sucks!***

***Disclaimer: I felt obligated to throw shade at our opponent somehow.

The point's well taken, but it's worth considering that the three Winnipeg wins came on 10/20, 10/31 and 11/27. I believe the Wild were still dealing with quite a few injuries at that point; the team's performance overall has been quite a bit better since around early December (I think?).

Still, that good 2nd half did happen with Suter on the team and there are good reasons for Winnipeg to feel confident here. I'm just not sure that the season series is one of them.

All these Jets fans dropping in, pretending to be nice....I'm not buying it. Not for a second!

Let's get real here. There is only one winner. The loser gets mocked and ridiculed. That's the way it is.

Well then I say Good Day to you sir.

I said Good Day!

f***in hosers

I have Minnesota in 6, but if they do drop the series are we going to blame injuries for why they dropped the series?

Great observations & yes you'll likely get to hate big Buff if he starts throwing his weight around

I've never really particularly liked him. Not to say I hate him or anything, but I don't really actively root for him like I do other guys that came up through the Minnesota hockey ranks.

He left to go play in Canada really early, didn't he? I don't know if he even played at Roseau.

The hard thing about this "rivalry" is that the Jets have been my second favorite team in the west since realignment. I really don't feel the hate the way I do with the Avs or the Canucks back in the west coast express era. Their fans aren't obnoxious enough.

Blake Wheeler - Plymouth, MN
Dustin Byfuglien - Roseau, MN
Matt Hendricks - Blaine, MN

I’m thinking there’s a few Jets fans in MN. I mean, who is going to hate on this guy.

Whatever the outcome, Minnesota fans has lots to be proud of. And if Jets goes all the way to win the Stanley Cup, Wheeler will be sharing it with Minnesota. :)
