At the end of the season and in the post season that wasn't the case at all.

Folin was banged up the whole year. He started this season off incredibly. He absolutely has Top 4 potential. Prosser is a fringe 6th d-man, he's a #6/7.

We are not going to make a deep run whatsoever with Prosser as our 3rd RD.

Well the Wild have got all of their callup depth taken care of. Now on to the NHL player signings. Right? :help:

Look around our division and you'll see a lot of teams getting better. We're not going into next year a better team and these moves Fletch has made have not been good.

People can't ***** about what they think have been terrible moves? It was fine to ***** and whine about Yeo, but Fletcher definitely can do no wrong.

Now I'm really hoping for Desharnais on the 4th line. Otherwise we've gotten worse today compared to even before the Hanzal trade. Moore would've been really nice on our 4th line too, but TOR snatched him up quick.

It's easier to fill major holes when you actually have them. We don't.

Don't feel confident about our defensive depth anymore. Not very confident in our depth scoring. Think if one of our Top 4 goes down, we're going to be very susceptible. I'd feel a lot more comfortable with someone like Folin filling in over Quincey.

I just think we're going to regress back to a Wild Card team. We've lost a decent amount this offseason and haven't added it back. If Cullen and Kunitz (NVM) can fit under the cap, I'll be more confident.

Feel like the Scandella/Pominville trade set this offseason up to be disappointing.

He signed with TBL

How was this team supposed to get better this offseason? We knew a very good player was going to Vegas and knew almost certainly a defenseman would get moved (most expected futures in return, hence, not better). You can come up with your theoretical trades all you want, it doesn't mean any of them were realistically an option. I'm not being a Fletcher defender here, just asking - how would you reasonably expect the roster to improve this offseason?

We have not lost any of our top 6 and have not lost any of our top 4. Those are the impact players that make or break a team in the standings. We were fighting for first place in our division last year... and other than Pominville's departure, everyone coming in to replace those who have left are at least equal to, if not better than those outgoing.

JEE >= Haula
Pominville >= Ennis
Quincey = Folin
Olofsson >= Scandella
Foligno > Graovac AND Schreoder

We have maintained solid depth and depending on what happens now with 4th line center, we could have a much better 4th line even this year than we had last.

I'll answer this for everybody on this forum....

Magic.

That's how we expected to get better... magic.

The Wild are looking for bottom pairing dmen 4th line forwards and ahl depth. Thats it. Yet all the complaining here makes it seem like we passed up getting McDavid.
Our holes can be filled internally for the most part. Getting pissed about not bringing back Folin or not signing Postma is ridiculous.

The forums are the townspeople. Fletcher is the witch.

That's how I feel this whole thing is playing out.

Well at least if there is a year not to have money to spend on UFA's, this is the year. It's a really weak/small top end UFA group this year.
