Yeah I understand that, but it's even bad for Iowa.

Yeah, I'd be lying if I said I was too optimistic about him  I remember following along with boxscores to a number of Salavat games last season, seeing them go up a goal or two and then have 2-3 go in against them very quickly. I definitely asked myself "what the hell is up with their goaltender?" once or twice.

Never really seen him play, though.

Watched him with the Bruins a couple seasons ago, he's worse than Kuemper with his shakiness.

Physical. Not useless with the puck but not a strength either. Hard shot.

Good bottom pairing defenseman with potential to be a legit top 4 defenseman.

I think he's overly optimistic. 6/7 D with #5 upside. Physical, defensively minded, good shot. Slow feet and hands.

Sure...

Rundown on Christian Folin?

Very quiet and very solid. He was my favorite of the current Wild players just because of that. Has done very little offensively, but that doesn't absolutely mean that he couldn't be offensive asset.

-Most don't agree but this could be a huge loss for. I see him on par with the best in defensive play
-Most do agree that he is absolutely wonderful pickup for the Kings, especially for the price-tag

Fletcher couldn't pony up $800k for Folin or Postma??? WTF are you doing Fletcher?

For Folin it's not the money...its a one way vs two way. Postma...he may just not want to come here. Throwing money at it doesnt always work.

He's in panic mode.
Obviously no good decisions since February.

Yes, Tuch and Haula looked like a good move, but I'd rather have them and not Ennis and Foligno.
He didn't qualify Folin...:shakehead
No picks, no prospects...he just walked away.

Not really but ok.

It didn't get better. We missed on two solid 3rd RHDs at very little cost and signed some players that honestly shouldn't even get time in Iowa. Postma would have been a perfect compliment to Olofsson on the 3rd and it's quite sad if it came down to 1 way vs 2 way for him.

The one way vs two way was Folin not Postma.
As for the Iowa guys...who cares it's Iowa.

Who cares if it's a 1-way or a 2-way? We need an NHL 3rd pairing RD. Folin wasn't going to be in the AHL ever this season. He's a good 3rd pairing RD and would have been absolutely fine next to Olofsson. It's a dumb move not to re-sign him, I would have given him $1M easily.

I'm still waiting for the Devante Smith-Pelly signing. He should be another bottom feeder contract.

The Wild care if it's one way vs two way. If Folin faltered and didnt play well...they don't want to pay him an NHL salary in the AHL.
