His TOI/G last season was 10:51 and virtually no PK/PP time. Prosser could at least play a decent PK game if needed.

That was more who was ahead of him, kinda like how Scandella didn't get PP time.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but if cap is such a concern why not just sign Prosser for 750K as 7th D? We got rid of Scandella because it was thought we can't spend so much on a third pairing guy, so why go out and spend money? Rather spend on a decent back up goalie, who is a realistic alternative if Kuemper goes south. More important than a 7D.

I don't think Prosser as 7D is off the table. Something like Postma as the 3rd RD, Prosser as 7D and Murphy in Iowa on a 2-way sounds pretty realistic. You'd have Reilly and Murphy as LD/RD call-ups.

Still leaves money to fill 4C, a backup and whatever else.

He was never that good. Beautiful skater, lacking in hockey sense, skill, strength and ability. Rumors of his signing with Minnesota serve only to put pressure on Mike Reilly's camp is my unsupported theory.

ETA: losing Prosser to some team is honestly another blow to this sinking ship.

If true Svedberg will be the only member of the Wild to actually know Kirill Kaprizov.

Interesting signings either way. I still think Ferraro could be a useful NHLer in the right role, Murphy not so much. O'Reilly doesn't strike me as much more of a valuable player than Patrick Cannone is.

I really kinda hope we sign Desharnais for that 4th line between Foligno and Stewie. He's great at FOs and good on PK too. Could provide a little flair to the 4th line too.
