I think their coach needs to watch a replay or two.
I wonder if his reaction speaks more to how important Khusnutdinov is to their team and not necessarily the play itself.Coach needed to look at that again. Absolutely no fault on the opposing player. He was fully committed to the slapper and Marat stretched out and put himself in a really bad position.
How do you figure? Genuinely curious. Not a bad freshman campaign for Healey, considering he still doesn't turn 19 for another 2 months.
4th on the team in defensemen scoring, even though the totals aren't very high. And mostly just noting how young he was for the entire season. How do you figure? Genuinely curious.
3 yearsI saw this stat somewhere, it will have been 4 years by the end of this year and the Brackett/Guerin regime will have yet to have a player they drafted score a goal in the NHL. Don't @ me if this is wrong.
I’ve been saying this for a while, but I don’t watch theGophers religiously, and might be missing something. I would assume that Faber got the B10 defensive player of the year for a reason.Sidebar to the UM-SCSU game was Faber vs. Peart...I thought Peart was one of the best players on the ice while Faber was meh. For that game anyway...I am more impressed with Peart though, he looked like Dumba (offensively) before the pec injury.
Peart was QBacking all the SCSU power plays and looked more than competent...I’ve been saying this for a while, but I don’t watch theGophers religiously, and might be missing something. I would assume that Faber got the B10 defensive player of the year for a reason.
Peart is a smoother player than Dumba, a bit less dynamic, and certainly less physical. I do think that he is a much more responsible defensive player than Dumba was at the same age. I have high hopes that he will be a true two way Dman once he natures, capable of sound defense, and also moving the puck, if not being part of scoring plays in the O zone. A Spurgeon replacement, in other words.
You seem to be implying that I said otherwise, when I said nothing of the sort?Peart was QBacking all the SCSU power plays and looked more than competent...
Not at all...furthering the point actually. You seem to be implying that I said otherwise, when I said nothing of the sort?
His "meh" is just being the best defenseman on a team that doesn't give up much. Every once in a while he'll do something that pops, but it's mostly just doing the right thing, making the right read, making the right play, almost all of the time.Sidebar to the UM-SCSU game was Faber vs. Peart...I thought Peart was one of the best players on the ice while Faber was meh. For that game anyway...I am more impressed with Peart though, he looked like Dumba (offensively) before the pec injury.
That’s certainly part of it, but you’d sure like to have Faber running a PP at the college level, if you expect him to have an impact in the NHL.I also wonder if Faber doesn't "pop" because, I would say, the Gophers have, overall, more talent on their team.
Are you saying an impact on the PP in the NHL orThat’s certainly part of it, but you’d sure like to have Faber running a PP at the college level, if you expect him to have an impact in the NHL.
