Definitely his fault and not the GM who put $15M of dead cap on the books
How did that $15M go down exactly? I thought those were penalties for long and illegal contracts signed by the previous GM and Guerin was left holding the bag. Or was there a way for Guerin to have avoided the penalties?

Buyouts. And they could have just kept them

John Hynes officially joins the NHL old boys club of recycled head coaches, joining the rich history and tradition led by Peter Laviolette, Ken Hitchcock, Todd McLellan, and Bruce Boudreau.
At least all of those guys had some seasons with a .600 points percentage and got out of the first round of the playoffs.

One of the worst teams in the league with no cap space.

Scapegoat fire. But it had happen with their current state.
