Post-Game Talk: Wild Defend "Their Ice" In Game 3 - Jets Lose 6-2

Separated these posts because of the 3 embed limit, felt like some of it would get missed if they weren't embedded.

The hit on Myers from the Sportsnet and NBC perspectives -
Realtime play by play was a terrible angle, only catching it at the corner of the screen on both broadcasts so I didn't clip it. NBC only had one angle that I could find.

Sportsnet's clip replays it over and over zoomed in, that was during the intermission, I didn't edit it at all.
I can slow down the clips if anyone wants it, but the angles are poor.

Didn’t think the hit on Trouba or the Myers incident were dirty at first but after seeing these replays a few times, both are clearly suspendable offenses IMO

Foligno's hit on Trouba was shoulder on head. The way it's ruled by the DOPS is "principle point of contact", well Foligno got nothing but head there. If Doughty got suspended for a game Foligno should get 2. Straight up looks like he's targeting the head the entire way in and raises his shoulder into it.

Definitely an intended headshot on Trouba. Sick of getting physically demolished in games one and two and resorted to that nonsense

Sorry, I've watched all the angles multiple times and don't see Foligno making contact with Trouba's head. I do see Foligno pushing Trouba's stick into the boards and Trouba being pulled with it because he doesn't let go of it.

The Foligno punch to Myers' knee OTOH is dirty AF.

I think the weather was the blame for the loss as it delayed practice for us, but the defense was probably what was wrong. At practice the team really needs to regroup.

How do you know if someone else has a 2nd feed or not? It’s ignorant to assume others may have it and turning the tv on mute is pretty boring. Like why watch the game then?

Far from me to tell anyone to stop complaining. Just offering some alternatives if Romunak and Galley and ruining people's playoff experience as much as they seem to based on the posts here. There are only a limited number of playoff games and one should not let broadcasters ruin it for them. Another alternative for people without the Wild feed and not wanting to mute is to sync the broadcast with TSN1290 where Beyak is doing the commentary.

foligno does hit trouba's head but it won't be suspendable. i don't think he was aiming for the head so i don't really see malice.
the knee thing? it's pretty dirty. doubt he gets a call, but it's just gross intent to injure. dude swings and lands a punch to the back of a knee.
and if he is suspended and he gets a game...so what? Myers is likely out, which means you're replacing his with Poolman. yay?

Wouldn’t it be great for Poolman to come in and burn Minnesota? Minny took runs to get him out of the game and Roslovic comes in and burns them with 2 assists in his first game

We have to be better in every facet next game. This will be a long and hard series if we can't win the next one in their barn and at least get some momentum going into ours.

Agreed I expect our team to have a much better effort on Tuesday. The Wild are a very tough team and I didn’t think the first two games were a true indication of their talent. Last night they needed to win and we didn’t and I felt the game reflected that. Both teams need the next game and I am expecting the game of the series.

Foligno destroyed us. His hits set the tempo, the violent nature of his hits really took a couple of our guys off/out of the game. His dirty play cost us a Dmen and he got a goal......gotta push back hard next game.

I give the Wild credit. They made some good adjustments on their PK and shut the Jets down.
Right in time for the refs to call everything of course.

A little dose of adversity to remind the team they can't just expect to win because they played well in the previous game.

Get rid of the penalties for the next game and just keep doing the same things. We got this.

Wild capitalized on their chances at a high percent and they won't keep doing that. They were the better team but not that much better.

We knew it would be a different Minny team, but the Jets looked unorganized, and tired..

Next game will be better hopefully.

PP sucks, and thats both of them atm if you ask me.

Everyone get what they needed to out of their system? Playoffs are going to be grind and adversity will be around every corner. The Pens have been "embarrassed" on many nights on their way to back to back cups. It happens. Once s*** starts sliding down hill it is hard to stop. The Jets have proven to be very resilient this season and I expect a bounce back game on Tuesday.
