Good on Naz to keep his cool last night.
Right from the opening face off he was living the life of Rielly in their collective heads.
Literally turned the game around just by being in the line up.

For a fan who ended up on the winning side last night, you seem awfully bitter.

Thornton is playing on his last kidney and is pretty much done no need to prove his "manliness" by going after a small guy that is 6 feet tall and 20 pounds lighter without any reason.

Thornton did that anyway - leafs don't even play in the west - i don't know what point was thornton trying to prove? was he trying to show off marleau that hey i am still man enough to stay with teh sharks or something?

Hair pulling. Finger biting. Ya he's a real man.

He didnt bite anyone, hair pull was accidental.

I'd rather he be a possibly dirty fighter anyway than a p***y pos who picks his spots against non-fighters he outweighs by 40lbs, like Thornton does.

He's an extra big POS for not confronting Kadri himself.

The honorable thing would have been Kadri to fight and get it over with. Not surprised he declined.

the honourable thing would have been for thornton to step up to the plate to have a round 2 instead of letting other guys fight his battle that includes their coach for sending a player after kadri and then admitting it in the post match conference

A whole hypothetical scenario where Kadri maybe said negative things about when he played 2 yrs for Deboer to J.T. I can't see S.J being that mad over the beard incident, unless the part Kadri ripped out was where Joe' s pet rooster lived lol

So you don’t have any actual comments from Kadri, right? You’re just assuming that because Kadri played for DeBoer, the Sharks concluded that he bad mouthed DeBoer during the Tavares sweepstakes, and they tried to attack Kadri because of it? Sorry man, I’m not buying it.

The only other thing I can consider is that Tommy Wingels, who Kadri boarded in the playoffs last year, is a former Shark who spent most of his NHL career in teal. That’s not a logical explanation either.

Realistically, it was definitely the beard incident, but DeBoer is still a f***ing idiot for handling things the way that he did.

Thornton is a legendary hall of famer who beat the f*** outta Jamie Benn, you’re outta line bud.

There is a difference between grabbing and pulling. Kadri grabbed (all indications point to it being a mistaken attempt at the collar) for the purpose of exchanging blows and ended up holding on while being flung by the much larger Thornton. Also, I don't recall any biting incidents. Perhaps you are thinking of Burrows, who did pull hair and bite and much worse during his career?

Legendary? No one is going to remember or care who Joe Thornton is in 10 years. HHOF, sure, but let's pump the breaks. His stick curve is going to be the biggest part of his legacy.

Here I think about he and Savard finishing with ridiculous assist totals for a number of years. Who thinks about the curve of a blade?

I think people are just incredulous to find out after the fact that the Sharks organization have been pacing about and wetting themselves all this time in anticipation of getting revenge, revenge on a player who was only defending himself, and who didnt initiate the fight in the first place.

Even if it wasn't - it happened a year ago and it was at most kind of a punk thing to do but not a huge "code violation". Seriously - Thornton wants to go around looking like a ****ing wizard you have to expect some of the pukes in the league to go after it.

The Sharks took themselves out of the game and gave the Leafs at least two PPs while negating one they would have gotten going after Kadri. Defending their stupidity because Kadri is a "punk" is stupid. Deboer is stupid. Goodrow is stupid. Meier is stupid. The whole thing was stupid. It's not the 70s.
Kadri slashed Meier in the hand and then punched him in the head. It's too bad Meier didn't just slash him across the unibrow.

It's the blade that thousands of kids grew up with, including a lot of the young stars in the league today. His career isn't otherwise that memorable outside of one season.

triggered the sharks and a lot fans here from other teams

i'd say he did alright
For sure,100% ...Kadri was in their heads. Deboers 'intimidation strategy' was a huge fail! Maybe they knew the Leafs were better and had to look for a different angle! Also, those san Josy play by play guys are the worst homers I have heard all year...delusional!

Yeah considering they were sitting on this for a whole year, it was a pretty poor effort to step up from the Sharks. Some bloke no ones ever heard of and Melker Karlsson.

Last time the Leafs were this scared was the whole Erik Gudbranson threatening to kill people event.

I mean - they scored on the PP they got from it (or at least as time expired on it). Kind of odd to say that it had nothing to do with anything.
And the Sharks scored 3 goals in that period and had the lead. What is your point?

Sharks lost because they didn't play well after the 1st. Too many mistakes and odd man rushes. Kadri had no impact on the outcome of the game.

And that’s perfectly fine. It’s just rather odd that a chunk of his beard ended up on the ice. Seems more like a last second effort by Kadri. I can only speculate.

What's odd about it? Not one person denies it happened. Most logical people can speculate their way towards he was grabbing for his collar (as happens every time someone tries to grab jersey in a fight) and because Joe wears a beard that goes below his collar, he ended up with a handful of beard. Do you honestly think it got ripped out mid fight or when he lost balance?

He absolutely did. Leafs are 9-0 when scoring first. They scored as a direct result of some random going after Kadri. Goal goes in. Leafs remain perfect when scoring first. Kadri basically won that game last night.
