Likely no, on the other hand, Michkov's potential won't mean anything if he doesn't/can't/won't play in the NHL. If he does land in the NHL, and lives up to his potential (not a given), yes, Reinbacher is a bad pick. Personally, I don't mind the safe pick (but would have chosen Leonard over Reinbacher).

Nothing indicates that he won’t come. SKA is also known for negotiating contracts, which means he could be in the NHL sooner then the 3 years.

Teams can also talk with the skills coach and as a group bring the correct training to the player for him to be ready. It has been done in the past and SKA seem to be open to this type of thing because that mean every Russian wants to pay for them, knowing that if they are good enough they will be able to make it over, etc.

But who does ARZ give us? Hughes clearly thought Reinbacher >> Mitchkov, so any players/picks that ARZ would have traded wasn't enough to compensate for losing out on Reinbacher.

Them thinking this highly of Reinbacher definitely gives me pause. As mentioned in one of my previous posts, HuGo haven't deceived me yet, so i trust that they took BPA with all things considered.

A big disappointment is Mutsy taken at 26. With our 31 and 37, we would have been able to trade up for him.

I badly wanted Will Smith so I would have traded down and taken Leonard if it was the rumored philly trade or Wood at 15th OA if the rumored Nash offer was true.

I wouldn't have traded 31st and 37th so I would have gone with well I don't really know cause we would have had to trade up cause there's no one that was picked after 30th that I would have wanted there. Maybe Lardis?

at 37th maybe Morin or Terrance (nice pickup by the Ducks)
