Who will the Bruins lose to the expansion draft?

I'd need some crazy good incentive to even considered Belesky.

Hayes I'd need some incentive, not as much as Belesky, but he only has the one-year left and it can be buried in the minors and eat the 1.3 approx cap hit for one season.

As to which D, it's hard to say really. McQuaid of the 3 D is one I would think is the most likely pick from LV, at least in a vacuum.

Impossible to say really without seeing the rest of the expansion list from other teams and the quality of players, in particular the D-men, that are available.

Would you give up Spooner to move out Beleksey? Maybe with a mid pick or a bottom pairing LHD coming back?

Those are minimums, not maximums.

Once again, why waste selections worrying about stocking AHL depth when there are plenty of ways to accomplish that goal.

Got you. Thanks.

The AHL issue might depend on who is made available. Subban as an example of a player that may be seen in a far different light by the Knight brain trust than most here would. If he is not taken in this draft, still think he will be playing elsewhere next season. He appears to be blocked in getting his chance with the big club right now behind Rask, Doddy and McIntyre and he is not getting any younger. Vladar would also be pushing him next season to be a starter in Providence. Hope he can get his opportunity somewhere one day.

remember, George McPhee (GMDM), is the Knights GM, AS what Portland fans called him then, AS for Subban, past experience when called upon plays a role in that, but how much of that is injury related and health overall and whether he is as good as it seems PK and Jordan have succeded/thrived to date.....

Hopefully McQuaid or Beleskey end up in Vegas.

After how both Miller's played, you think? I doubt it's Quader. I thought it was both Millers before. Now I think you have an interesting case for Morrow vs Chiller vs Miller. The B's probably HAVE to keep Kevin Miller. But those other 2 in the right system are nice pieces. Maybe trade one before expansion.

Also lol Beleskey being taken by Vegas. Not in this universe.

Its going to be likely K. Miller or C. Miller

Vegas won't want Beleskey...what for

i think the bruins protect K. Miller as the third D

He played a ton of mins under Cassidy...

I think Kevan is protected. He more than earned that spot with his solid play this postseason. He was as solid as he has ever been back there playing big minutes basically every night.

Offer a high enough pick or a decent prospect with Beleskey, and they may bite the bullet and take him. No, I don't think they'd take him without Boston adds something to him....Same goes for McQuaid. I said, "hopefully" for a reason.

At the end of the day, if Boston doesn't make it enticing for Vegas, they easily go Colin or Subban for their choice.

Vegas would take Beleskey if you offer a draft pick or a decent prospect along with him....Team will want to try and build a prospect pool quickly. Only way to do that is with acquiring draft picks or prospects.

I would. I'd like to get a return for spoons but to get out of Belesky contract would be very beneficial. Not to mention spoons upcoming raise.

Maybe we can intice LV into a package deal. I give them, Hayes, Beleskey, McQuaid (Bigger sacrafice for me than most around here) and Spooner.

Why on earth would they take every bad contract from us for essentially Spooner?

Does Vegas have to get to the cap floor? You may see them take some bad contracts just to get there. I mean they need some bad ones for at least a few years because they should be pretty awful until their draft picks start making them better.
