Lots of chaos there...and lots of trolls.

Ahh...the good ole days.

I remember a post there that led me here, something to the effect of
"If you want to discuss Bruins seriously come here but beware the mods don't mess around"

Now a question for LadyFan...

I've always wondered if it was you I spoke with March 24, 2011. The Bruins beat Mtl 7-0 (I still swear Seggy popped one before the closing bell) I had flown in from Calgary to take in my first Bruins game in Boston.

Clode was directly in front of me and I'm pretty sure you spoke with security to keep me from getting kicked out for banging on the glass. Thanks for that, that was one of the funnest nights of my life and an awesome trip all around.

This is a great thread.

I didn't start to read these boards until very late but I was part of the old mailing list that Kirk Ludecke(?) was admin for. For someone like me living Sweden that was a great time as I couldn't catch any games or news in the same way as today. +200-300 emails a day, people emailing articles and some even sent me VHS-tapes with Bruins games a couple of times each year. The quality has very high.

Ian Wilson - what a legend. I did not always agree with him, but the length and depth of the posts... I really hope he is doing well today. But there was many other that really made my life a distant Bruins fan better. The quality was high. Wasn't there a stats and trivia genius called Houda something?

This must have been circa 1993, 1994 something like that?

I sit next to the bench (not behind it). I do know most of the security guys around the bench though.

I am happy you were not tossed :)

i forget the name of the boards some of us were previously posting on - maybe rivals or black and gold news? i definitely posted in the old-style forums but can't recall when it started. it does remind me a bit of 9-11, since fall 2001 was my first in-person trip to development camp (i think day 1 of that camp was the next day on the 12th) and i can still see some of those old-style posts in my head. so long ago.

ps...where's jeff from maine?? i sometimes miss the battles with that guy.

Scotiahockey... i remember you ran a sim league for a little while that i was a part of in 04 or 05.

glen/sniurb/scotia was a heck of a hockey player. he was blowing around all of us at will in that HF pickup game many years ago.
