Connelly falls to the second round (he wont), you take him and hire the best sensitivity coach money can buy.

Hell, take him with the 18. The kids elite.

At least we aren’t going after Lindstrom. That’s the one that’ll be a straight up mistake.
I don’t get the Lindstrom hate. He’s someone that does everything out on the ice. Is it the hockey sense? I’ve heard that one but not sure I buy it.

If I'm the Hawks, I don't even consider Connelly before #34.

Absolute best case to me is drafting Demidov at #2, and then move up from #18 and nab Yakemchuk.

The problem is, the teams seemingly willing to move their picks want immediate NHL help, of which the Hawks really don't have anything to offer. Throwing in 2nd rounders isn't going to get you in to the top 10.

I think the best course of action for the Hawks is to stay put, take Demidov at 2 and hope that Jiricek or Emery are there at 18.

You guys will swoon over whoever Davidson takes. Don’t act like you won’t.
i care very little about prospects until they hit professional ice. i only keep up with these threads to stay minimally informed and to laugh at silly people. i don’t think i’ve seriously kept up with prospects since hf proper died.

Hmmm....why is this kid going bald at his age...?
Used to work a combine and it was funny to me how many 15 year old kids seemingly just had beards and were balding 😂

Obviously not true for majority of kids there where they’re all juiced up, but the amount was staggering and if I remember right exogenous testosterone increases DHT and the expression of genes relating to alopecia on the top of your head while promoting hair growth elsewhere like your facial hair

Galaxy brain take probably is Leshunov took PEDS which aged him a decade — not that his birth certificate is off lmao

Boys can begin to bald as teenagers. They are like Albino's. They are very rare but they do exist.

I’m just kind of underwhelmed by Levshunov. He is probably seen as the safest pick to turn into a right handed #3 but I’d personally like to see a big swing

In the end of the day, all the media attention towards Lev means squat. With Demi and silayev both not at the combine, lev naturally has the highest odds of being picked from the pack present.
When Demi comes over, they will interview him fully with his plan and make the decision (that whys they’re undecided, he could be a total dweeb.) The odds should still be in favour of demi considering the majority the expects showing that he sits at 2nd in rankings.

What also may swing the decision to Levshunov is that he said he will discuss with the team that drrafts him whether or not he should turn pro right away ...it was thought he would go back to NSU 1 more season
..but if their is one thing that there actually is consensus about it is that he is closest to jumping to the pros than all the other dmen candidates except Silayev who is a LHL pro already BUT cannot come over till his contract there is up.

Now...you can argue the merits of rushing Levshunov in while Haws STILL will be dreadful and so under so.much pressure in the d-zone ...they rushed KK in and that was 2 season after he got drafted and this proved disastrous
..wrecking his confidence for who knows how long!

He was notcteady...butvitviscfelt that if anyone can survivedecently with the Hawks in the season immediately following his draft it woukd be Levshunov...esoecially if he starts with a less onerous role in 3rd pairing..
The hope would be he learns the probgamecandvis ready by 2025/26 to assume a bigger role as 2RD sich that they can jettison Murphy ..

This pkan would see hom behind $9.5 blocking any "top role: for hom for 6 straight seasons till Seth's contract up...unless Hawks buyout $9.5 in final year of his deal...meaning as littlecasc5 sesdibs before Hawks fans see Lev get his projected #1D or at least projected 1RD role.

Do not know if such a trajectory is good or bad.. With other potential picks who are not a RD they could achieve top roles earlier even if you gave to wait 1 season before they join The Show.
And any other prospect drafted by other teams in early round one who di not have a similar cobtractto top role blocking situation like $9.5
is for the Hawks, could see their pick reach top role asa forward orcdman a lot quicker than 7 seasons after being drafted

I am officially on board with the Levshunov pick.

I see a future Brent Burns.

Hopefully the moron GM moves up in the draft to get Eiserman or stays at 18 and takes Connelly.
