A quick summary of my views:

- I think that Derek Roy and, to a lesser extent, Jason Pominville, are criminally underrated on these boards.
- Miller is a top 5 goalie in the league.
- Enroth has potential, but I'm going to wait for him to have more NHL games under his belt before I pass judgement.
- Lindy Ruff is a great coach. End of story.
- Ennis needs to shoot more.
- Stafford better step up again this year or else I will be forced to admit that he only performs when he has to.
- Captaincy should go to Vanek or Poms, with the A's going to whichever one doesn't get the C, along with Roy, Goose, and Regehr.
- Myers is in a position to be a generational defenseman.
- ShaMo and Montaderp were pretty bad, but they each had their moments and don't deserve as much hate as they get.
- Boyes is a fantastic player to have...as long as he doesn't play center.

...aaand that's all that comes to mind right now. Great to finally be an active member of a site that has brought me so much rage and laughter in the past couple of years.

Current Favorite Sabres: I really like what Gerbe and Ennis are doing and I'm really high on Grags...have been for several years. I'm expecting BIG things out of Ehroff and Regehr this year.

Favorite Sabres Moment: there are so many, one is a personal memory of when I was a kid. We went to a Sabres Alumni game in West Seneca and they were signing autographs beforehand. I asked Gilbert Perreault to sign something for my Dad, who was deployed for Desert Storm. He picked me up and set me up behind the bench for the rest of the game, and told me that I was the Coach for the game. Pretty awesome for a 7 year old and one of my best childhood memories.

As far as Sabres game, the 1997 series against Ottawa when we won in Overtime.

Born in Batavia with some family in Amherst, started with Sabres in 1970 or so.. Been around many cities and hockey for years (as a fan) but the roots are Buffalo.

Nope, I'm not 100 but getting up there. A tad outspoken at times but not much different than most New Yorkers.. I bought a ten pack to the Sabres this season for the first time, hoping to get some great playoff tickets too.

Have some long term connections to Muskoka, my wife is half Canadian but I'm 100% American... The good news is she loves the Sabres above all else so we do get along on that subject, the Olympics are a different story..
