Lol put Andersen in and you don’t have to worry about Campbells health because we won’t be playing hockey much longer.

He’s had plenty of shots. When’s the last time he got a shutout? Do you even remember the last time he had a good game?

I literally don’t even care if the series was 3-0 with the Leafs up 4-1 in game 4 with 10 minutes to go....

it’s the playoffs, you don’t f*** and around tinker or play the preemptive game.

If Jack’s hurt, he’s hurt, I won’t argue but how are we as Leaf fans so quick to forget how things can turn?

A 2-1 series lead can turn to being down 3-2 in a hurry.

Start your starter.

The margin for error in the playoffs is razor thin..

Don’t make it even thinner.

Does it matter? Players always try to show their worth when they are playing for a contract. If we lose its 2-2 going back to Toronto with a rested Campbell. If we win its 3-1 with a rested Campbell.

Sorry Andersen deserves a shot. If it means helping Campbell recoop, I am willing to take the risk. We arent talking about giving Hutch the start like in years past.

Andersen is a starting caliber goaltender. Whether you like him or not. He's been there before and deserves a shot.

If we play Andersen and he shits the bed we are tied 2-2
In a. Best of the three price can steal 2 of them. MUch harder for him to steal three

This all depends on how Jack Campbell is feeling. He will likely start because he wants to compete, and if we win I can't argue with that choice. But I hope he doesn't wear out and have to get pulled. I have no confidence in Andersen but if he does come in I really hope he redeems himself.
 
Other teams all go with their starters in back to back games in the playoffs. Why do the Leafs need to be any different? I'm going to lose my mind if they put Freddy in tonight and he costs us.

Campbell has battled injuries all season, that would be the only reason it would be different for the Leafs. That said I would still give Campbell the start, but his durability issues can't be ignored. Has he ever had a stretch with this workload in his career? Genuinely asking.

Is this Andersen’s burner account or something?

Andersen has shown his worth already. We don’t need to have him show more of that “worth” in the playoffs.

This is the playoffs. A 3-1 series lead is almost always a win. A 2-2 series is a coin toss. Andersen is a near guaranteed loss.

He most definitely does not deserve a shot. He has the worst numbers of all 4 goalies we used this year. He’s sporting an 895 sv% and -5 goals saved above expected. He is not even an NHL goalie let alone a starter.

This is a guy who posted sub 900 sv% in the AHL. The AHL. When Bernier and Gustavsson went down for conditioning they posted 950+ sv%.

He has earned nothing and deserves nothing. It’s the Toronto Maple Leafs not the Toronto Andersen’s.

If Andersen starts it's 2 goals minimum on the first 5 or so shots. Can see it coming from a mile away.

Anyone who wants him starting is clinically insane.

There is all the reason in the world to start Freddy are you kidding.

Up 2-1 in games.
Campbell hasnt played back to back all season.
Campbell is fragile and we cant afford to lose him rest of the series.
Team has played well with Freddy in net before.
Freddy is playing for contract.
Montreal cannot score.

Campbell should not start in net tonight. Not a chance.

If Freddy comes out and shits the bed in first period you pull him right away with 2 periods to play. There is no upside in playing Campbell tonight and risking injury. Price playing tonight is a stretch as well having not played in almost 2 months.

lol. I'm assuming you're just intentionally trolling here, but you realize Carey Price did literally the exact same thing as Andersen this year right? With similar results?

Almost like they give a guy coming back from injury a conditioning stint for a reason... who knew?

No chance Freddy starts, and I've been hard on him for a lot longer than most people around here...

... but, his AHL appearance doesn't mean anything. It was like 4-5 periods, and even if he didn't allow any goals, that wouldn't mean much either.

Lol Andersen isn’t in the same tier as Price. They can’t be compared.

Andersen had a garbage season at every level. The denial of this fact is just annoying.
 
Jack should go again tonight. I think it'll be his choice. Keefe basically said it'll be based on how Jack feels today. Habs are going back to Price. I'd think if he's able, we go back to Soupy
